The WIL in Jim Johnson's system should be a great pass-rusher and playmaker and occasionally need to cover someone.  LaVar is ten times anyone we've had there besides Shawn Barber, and maybe better than he was for us.

Trotter had to play read/react in Washington under Marvin Lewis, which is why he "sucked" there.

(He didn't suck.  He got injured and was not a big-time playmaker, but he still had 100+ tackles and played well.)

There is absolutely NO WAY Arrington could suck worse than any of our other linebackers.  So if he wants to take a cheap/short term deal to prove his worth then I'd be all for it.  Maybe a change of scenery is just what he needs.

Pick up his cap and he is all yours.  Otherwise we can't afford to cut him.  we don't have enough cap as it is right now for next year and it would cost 800,000 more just to cut him than to keep him.  he is bipolar as someone said.  He isn't dumb as one of you said.  He is actually pretty smart but i am comming to the conclusion that he is a little crazy.  He might be 'retiring' as he says(that is when people call him a drama queen)
Lavar is still my boy and like he said he only wants to play for the skins and he thinks he will be cut next year and he is just worried.

Well, he might not be clinically stupid but judging from the comments below it's pretty apparent he doesn't understand the concept of "taken out of context" very well:

trotter sucked in DC and rips it up here.  maybe it'll be the same for Lavar.  either way he's lightyears better then what he have currently.  at the the right price, and with the trillion dollars we have left under the cap, why the hell not.

We'd only have to pay his salary--I'm pretty sure the Eagles would redo his deal if he had any roster bonus due.
