I don't give a shtein about draft choices at this point.  I just wanted to see them win for a change and they did exactly that.

A win's a win and I'll take it.

shorebird

Not me. I hope they lose out. I'll gladly lose money if it means jumping one slot for a better draft pick.

What good are a couple more wins at this point? Might as well start Hall and see what he's got.

Like I said last week...even though losing would help the draft position I just cannot root against them.

Finishing the season on a strong note with these young guys getting time and confidence is very important.

They cannot get higher than 10th, right? And they're at 14 now?

I'll give up 4 spots to get these current rookies some confidence.

All I use that higher draft pick thing for is a reason to feel better after a loss.

There's no way I can ever root for this team to lose... even if it helps us a little next year.

If we happen to lose out... then alright, the better draft position is cool... but in no way am I EVER against the Eagles winning.

It's not in my nature to root against the Eagles even when it would be in their best interest as a team to lose out.

Considering all the bullshtein that this team has been through this year, finishing up at 8-8 would be about as close to a miracle as you could get.

Here's hoping they stomp the Woody Woodpeckers' guts out next week and finish the season with an ass-kicking of the Indigenous Persons on New Year's Day.

With Washington's win, the Eagles clinched last place and a visit to San Francisco next year...

Projecting the W/Ls of the next 2 weeks, it looks like we're stuck at #14....

Kurt Warner is done for the year, so we get McCown next week...

Tampa Bay would be the closest trip for you guys, but there's rumors that the NFL might put that game in England...  :boo

About 10 hours by car or 16 hours by boat...

:D

BTW: I've been to Tampa before.  Going to games there sucks because I hate rednecks and that's all there is in that miserable, misbegotten hell-hole of a stadium.   :puke

Nah... NO is closer to me.  Tampa's about 8-8 1/2 from me... NO is about 6 1/2.

Rome... you need to get your ass to NO.  So far, Moloko and me... and about 6-8 others are planning the trip... and I got a buddy down there who runs a bar (FREE drinks all night  :yay) right around the corner from the Dome (if it ends up being played there).  If the game ends up in Baton Rouge... that's only about 45 mins away.

He said something about the NFL releasing the Saints schedule this year earlier than everyone else... he mentioned sometime in January... so if that's the case, we'll know the dates next month.   :yay

I can probably do one trip next year (other than home games, of course).  If I have to choose between New Orleans and San Francisco, I'm taking the Cali trip.  In fact, I'll probably take 10 days and take the family out there with me.  Mrs. Romey has never been there and we've been talking about going for years now.  If I can somehow swing two roadies, I'll do the New Orleans trip too.

BTW: I doubt they'll even be back in New Orleans next year.  There's no way they can get that stadium up and running again plus Benson wants out of there and with San Antonio sitting there practically begging for a franchise, I gotta think that New Orleans is shtein outta luck at this point.

MURP

very interesting report on Andrews weight problems.  Weighed in at 378.   And whats with the supposed $500 per pound per day fine?  Dude would have been broke by now.   Hope this weight issue doesnt prevent Andrews from becoming an elite player.  The lack of will power is disturbing.

mussa

true...i just hope he doesn't keel over on us.
