All but 5.  Don't look back.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I only see one option there.

Mad-Lad

you forgot the most important option:

9. Revenge

Zanshin

Revenge is overrated.  Just let it go and move on.  Women hate that.

Mad-Lad

depends on why the breakup took place in the first place.  If she tore your heart out, throwing stars are the way to go.

hbionic

Revenge doesn't apply in this case. She was a very loving woman. Hot, with a great ass. Had a career and was educated(nobody's perfect)...in 7 months of knowing her...we never shouted at each other...which was heaven compared to my last girlfriend (living with the devil's sister)...the part that sucks is wondering if it was the right move.

We'll see.

fine, ya sissies.  You should definitely spend every waking hour of your day crying, listening to Morrissey, and staring at a picture of the two of you.

What about:

10.  Beat the piss out of a Cowboys fan.
When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

Mad-Lad is right.

You should just succumb to his will

My suggestion is to quite being such a Hoyda

But really, time heals all wounds (or most, I guess). Best suggestion aside from not being a Hoyda I can give you is to go to the gym. If you don't belong to one or haven't gone in a while start. There's no better pick-me-up.

And if you have a medical condition then go with #7.
