Well, Aikman had those kind of numbers too, and I never mistook him for anything other than a round peg in a round hole.  He worked well within the offense, but was nothing special beyond that. 

McNabb has more intangibles than Aikman, I'd call him a star.

Runner up for MVP one season. 5 straight probowls. 5 straight seasons of leading his team to the playoffs. 4 straight NFC championship games. A superbowl appearance. I'm not sure what your qualifications are for stardom, but that fills my requirements.

You don't think McNabb is a star and you want Reid to be gone... who do you believe has led this team to this level of success? Some other mystical force that no one is giving credt to? I know I know, you LIKE Donovan. You think he's swell. He just isn't a 'championship QB' and has no 'mental toughness.' Give me a break he and Reid single-handedly (double-handedly?) turned this team from a losing pile of shtein into a winner. Reid has his faults and I want to see them rectified. McNabb makes mistakes from time to time, but to claim that one is a bad coach and that the other doesn't have what it takes to win a Superbowl is completely ridiculous.

mcnabb and reid have both been responsible for a certain amount of success...andyone who would deny that is a dope...but the better question is what has stopped this team from reaching its ultimate level of success??

ive said on this board countless times that reid deserves credit for getting the team where it is...but its been seven years and is now time to move in a different direction...that is getting a coach that can...well...coach

The defense hasn't played that well at all in the most important games, namely the NFC championship games against the Rams & Bucs, and the Super Bowl last year.  Donovan was injured early against the Panthers.

theres a difference between physical toughness and mental toughness...mcnabb has none of the latter and that is something you must have if youre to be loved in this city...hes an emotionally soft person and that scares people...

fans want a leader...a tough guy that is not going to pout and cower when things get tough but someone that will stand up to a bully like TO or blast the fans that booed him...instead hes like boo hoo mommy daddy andy help me!!!

do some fans go overboard...of course...should mcnabb be replaced...hell no...but these are real issues he has and they explain why he is treated the way he is in the city...and there is some validity to it
