i am sad. that was one of the worst loses for me.

i agree, i feel the same way I felt after the NFCCG vs. Tampa, and that's saying something.

im not there sun, but this has been the worst regular season that i have been apart of.  tampa and the panthers destroyed me for the month, this game has me down but not out.

its easy for me because i can place all the blame on reid and mcnabb and some on jj.

I haven't been to bed yet. My seething rage at Andy Reid and Jimmy Johnson is keeping me awake.

It is ridiculous to blame the coaching.  In general, it was a well-called game.  A coach has to be able to trust his players to execute "surprise" plays to throw the other team off.

It's much less personal to blame the coaches, but you should be blaming the players... namely McNabb.

i wouldn't say it ridiculous to blame the coaching.  they definitley deserve blame for the loss.

if Andy calls a better play at the goal line, and they score a TD instead of a FG, they win the game running away.  if JJ doesn't leave Litoast alone on Terry Glenn and at least force the Cowboys to use more clock if they score a TD the game is different.  and if Andy Reid stayed with the farging running game that had been working, instead of trying to be clever and throw the ball, they probably win the game.

i blame mcnabb for telegraphing his throw to williams.

i blame reid for shying away from the run.

i blame jj for leaving lito 1 on 1 against glenn. i blame jj for playing prevent.  i blame jj for a zone blitz that left all the LBs in zone and most of the DBs blizting....61 yards to price and then a TD to barber a few plays later.

If McNabb didn't make a zesty decision by throwing right to Roy Williams and if Lito actually could cover anyone 1-on-1 this year, then you'd praise the coaches for being brilliant.

I think Reid, especially, called a very good game.  Johnson got us burned by blitzing at the wrong time, but he also got the big play on a blitz too.

The bottom line is that if McNabb doesn't throw that ridiculously ill-advised pass, we're complaining after a win instead of searching for answers after a loss.  That play was AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL.

i agree with you, and Donovan deserves a majority of the blame.  but why are they throwing at that point in the game.  you can't overlook what a terrible decision that was.  Andy and JJ did call good games, yes.  But only for 55 minutes, then they shtein the bed at the end.

the JJ blitz leaving Lito 1 on 1 can't be underestimated.  you have to make them drive the field and earn a TD in that situation.  the absolute worst possible thing you can do is give up a quick score.

I had no problem with the playcalling on the INT.  The Cowboys were expecting the run...they had timeouts.  I'd rather go for the first down than run it three times straight up the gut, punt, and then have Bledsoe lead a comeback.

West,

We ain't going 9-7.  I seriously think we will finish 6-10.  We have enough draft picks where we could easily deal up into the top 8, maybe 5.   I can't believe we're actually talking draft after the ninth game. :-D :-D ;D :) ??? :( >:( :boom

im actually hoping for 6-10, at least a top 15 DP. As for what we need, wow alot. Runyan is gone and although he got flagged 3x last nite its scary to think someone else taking his place. DTs on this team B L O W. Need a replacement LB for the Sim/Adams combo. A real #1 WR would help. Oh and a GM who has an eye for talent, cause ARs drafts havent been exactly GREAT

There is nothing defensible in the call to throw into the flat when you're that close the endzone, down by 6, with the clock ticking.  That is simply unnacceptable.  If you must throw the ball, do it down the middle, or well downfield.  Christ.

the play call was bad, there's no defending it.  it wasn't like the Eagles were averaging less than 2 yards per carry or anything, they were running all over the Cowboys.  they only got 1 yard on the 1st play, and it's like Andy panicked and went to the pass.  you at least run the ball again, make them use another timeout and think about a pass on 3rd down, and even then, a safe pass like a screen.

Well, you have to hope your QB will know the situation and exercise more caution in these instances.  McNabb didn't have to make that throw (in fact, I'm reading that it was he who misread the play, not Reggie Brown).
More Mahe please.

absolutely, Reggie Brown saw that Williams had come to the line of scrimmage and he went deep with single coverage.  McNabb didn't see Williams come up and thought the route was supposed to stay a hitch.

McNabb sucks. This team will never win with him. It took me until now to finally say it, but I'm on that bandwagon now.

Let's start McMahon for the rest of the season please. I hope McNabb is out for the year.

Oh, and yes te season is over. I've completely given up on it.

McNabb sucks?

The Eagles aren't yet mathematically eliminated so I think they should start McNabb until they are.

henchmanUK

Yes, it was a well called game for the most part, but the coaches tanked and choked in the last four minutes. We all know Lito has sucked this season, so don't put him on a fargin' island with Dallas coming back. And Dio is dead right on the throwing the ball into the flat call.
