You see it's very important to spend every penny of the cap space. Only dumb teams use it to sign their existing Probowlers (BWest and Akers) You should spend it on superstars like Bruce Smith and Deion Sanders. We have seen how well that worked in Washington. It's not useful to have some cap space available to get some fill in guys late in the season. That's just dump.

I think a rested Chad Lewis is a better backup TE then anyone in the NFL has right now.

As for Reno.....he catches the ball.....every farging time. He is not a great returner, but he makes no mistakes. I will take that. If we need to bust a big return we have BWest or Lito. To do the scut work, we have a guy who won't farg up. That is a very important job. If we recover the ball Trash ( misspelling intentional) blundered Sunday night, that is a different game. Reno would never make that bonehead play.

This idea isn't as crazy as it sounds.

Reid might substitute a lineman as a TE in some running formations.  Coaches steal ideas from one another all the time; Reid may try to emulate the Packers U-71 formation that was highly successful for Ahman Green.
