Corey Simon is still searching for his 1st sack of the season. But he's totally the reason his team's 11-0.

Just ask John Clayton.

Did anyone hear last night where they were talking about Simon losing weight next year?

He's already lost weight this year.  But not, I missed that comment.  Why do you ask?

I'm sceptical considering his past two offseason weight gains.  I guess he is no longer an Eagle, so not worthy of discussion here.

The irony is that no one deserves to be discussed here, Eagle or not.  How degrading.

So? That doesn't matter unless one of the 9ers not only saw him with the ball but also touched him as down to end the play. Since no one knew what the hell was happening he got up (once one of the Eagles got off his back, forget who it was) and rumbled down the field. Just being on his knees doesn't mean a thing.

his upperbody was laying across a 49 with his knees on the ground, either way no camera angles other than the Coaches film showed it.  I was just relaying what Mayock said, Mayock works for NFL films and covers the college players for nfltotal access and for the combine.  I loved the patterson play, I enjoyed it more than Chris Berman.

I don't care if he was technically down, but I doubt he was.  With Vernon Davis being injured on the play, the 49ers had plenty of time and plenty of reason to challenge the call.

That doesn't matter. He has to be clearly touched (hand to body contact) by a 49er to be downed. Just lying on the guy doesn't qualify. Otherwise they would have blown the play dead. He wasn't downed by the player he was lying on.

There was no way they could have overturned that call.  There was no camera angle available to the refs that had Patterson clearly in the shot to tell if he was down or not.  It would have been the same thing if they called the play dead once he grabbed the ball.  There was no good angle to overturn it either way.
