So, what was the action the players and/or team should have taken?

They should have suspended him before the season, after they sent him home and he made a fool out of himself in front of the team. They should have benched him after he screamed at Andy Reid last week. Trotter and Dawkins should have pile driven his ass into a bonfire. McNabb should have shot him in the face. Westbrook should have murdered his relatives. The chick from Audition should have shoved needles into his eyeballs.

There was a lot that should have been done.

I don't disagree- he should have been gone before the season (I believe, if you searched back far enough, that I posted something of that sort in August.  If you're as lazy as I, though, we'll never find out).

I thought it was your job to set him ablaze, RJS.  You dropped the ball.

And what in the world is Audition?  Never heard of it.

ice grillin you

what rj said

after the first incident someone should have punched him in his face and said talk shtein again and youre finished here...youre gonna communicate with your qb youre going to be a part of this team 100% or you arent going to be a part of it at all...the crap about well he doesnt have to be part of us as long as he performs on the field was ridiculous...hello dumbasses they go together

thats the problem with TO no one has ever stood up whether in san fran or here...like i said yesterday this garbage would not have gone on in places like baltimore new england or dallas...places that have players and coaches who are leaders

this goes to the larger problem of andy reids leadership...his lack of fire...his robotic like personality...his everything will tajke care of itself outlook...well you know what everything doesnt always take care of itself...sometimes people gotta take care of things
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

MURP

hatchet job or not by ESPN, TO said things that were out of line.

1.  talking about the waiver, again.

QuoteTO: Well, like I said, I know there was a waiver that we talked about. Obviously, they're saying they have no knowledge of it. So, it's not something phantom that I've made up. So, if they're saying that just to save face, then you know, that's what they have to live with.

GB: Why do you think they have to deny it?

TO: Not sure, not sure. But why would I openly say that I signed a waiver? Because it would have released them of any reliability, had I gotten hurt in the Super Bowl, because number one, the doctor didn't medically clear me. So, if anything would have happened, they wouldn't have been responsible for it.

2.  Talking about another QB playing for the Eagles and having a better record.  Cleary saying that Favre is something that McNabb isnt..  True or not, he was told to keep DMAC out of his media nonsense.

QuoteGB: Your friend Michael Irvin recently said that if Brett Favre was the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, they'd be undefeated right now. What do you think of that comment?

TO: I mean, that's a good assessment, I would agree with that.

GB: How so?

TO: I just feel like just what he brings to the table ... I mean he's the guy. Obviously, a number of commentators will say he's a warrior. He has played with injuries. I just feel like (with) him being knowledgeable about the quarterback position, I just feel like we'd be in a better situation

3.  The need for individual recognition on his 100th TD.

QuoteTO: Probably just like the statement that I said a while ago: If you align expectations with reality, you will never be disappointed. You know, their reaction shows you the type of class and integrity of an organization that they claim not to be. You know, they claim to be first class and the best organization. I just felt like it was an embarrassment. It just shows the lack of class that they had. My publicist talked to the head PR guy, and he made an excuse about (how) they didn't recognize it, or they didn't realize that it was coming up. But I know that was a blatant lie. If it would have been somebody else, they probably would have popped fireworks around the stadium. ...

Those are the exact quotes from TO.   ESPN didnt even need to edit it to sound bad, TO already had said enough to shoot himself in the head.

Eagles | Owens had a Fight with Douglas
Sun, 6 Nov 2005 06:31:31 -0800

Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had a fistfight with former defensive end and current team ambassador Hugh Douglas. The fight occurred in front of several of his teammates. According to one of the sources the Owens-Douglas fight "was like WWE Smackdown." Another source said both men threw at least two punches during the altercation and when it was over Owens challenged QB Donovan McNabb first and then everyone else in the room saying, "You want some. Anyone else want some." The Eagles refused to comment about the situation, other than the statement that revealed Owens' suspension. Owens and Douglas have been at odds since training camp and almost got into an altercation in an elevator at Lehigh University.

Terrell Davis was on NFL Total Access this morning agreeing with rjs, saying the Eagles are better off without TO, and will be fine.

I'm not gonna pretent to know, I just want to beat the Skins, Giants, and Cowboys. If we do that, then I'll say were better of without him.

TO is one of the dumbest, stupidest, egomaniacs I've ever seen. Last year was almost a dream come true. But then came a contract dispute, and the whole deal went to shtein. No true proffesional talks dollars out loud in any field.

I'm listening right now to NFL Total Access and HE is saying that McNabbs name was in the apology, and was shown to Eagles officials before said it, then left Dmacs name out. He's also saying he'll never, ever, ever play for the Eagles again.

What a dumb farg, he could have had it all, and he pissed all over it. You give me that mans talent and I'd have the city of Philly eating out of my hand.

Well, I just heard HE say it, so there. :P

reading on some sites on the net it seems that a problem could be that TO can only be suspended 4 games for conduct detrimental to the team.   Wonder what Reid is going to do about that.

i heard they could have two counts for conduct detrimental to the team so they can give him two 4 game suspensions.  That is what i heard but i am sure getting in fist fights holds atleast a couple games

I don't see how he can come back. They might not have any choice but to eat the contract and release him.

PhillyPhreak54

suspend him for the 4 games

Then Keyshawn his ass the rest of the season.

Thats my guess at least.

And Kolber said that Reid said he could not talk about the decision due to "leaglities" so maybe they're going to use that fight with Hugh as ammo to get him gone.

Agreed, MURP...they very well may have edited it because the rest of his interview was probably uniteresting BS, more self-promotion, and whining. When you're already on double-secret probation, as TO has been since the letter detailing what he could and couldn't do, you can't say the following under any circumstances:

QuoteTO: I just feel like just what he brings to the table ... I mean he's the guy. Obviously, a number of commentators will say he's a warrior. He has played with injuries. I just feel like (with) him being knowledgeable about the quarterback position, I just feel like we'd be in a better situation

Translation: I don't like what Donovan brings to the table. Donovan is not a warrior, and cannot play well with injuries. Donovan is not knowledagable enough as a QB.

QuoteTO: Probably just like the statement that I said a while ago: If you align expectations with reality, you will never be disappointed. You know, their reaction shows you the type of class and integrity of an organization that they claim not to be. You know, they claim to be first class and the best organization. Translation: Wah, wah, wah...I haven't been verbally felated by my team to the media at all this season!

Guess what, dumbass...when you do nothing but be a pain-in-the-ass to management and rip on your teammates, they're less likely to throw a carnival in your honor during the game when you reach a milestone. I can't believe anyone--fan or media--seriously believe the Eagles should've made a bigger deal of his 100th reception, the majority of which were caught while playing for other teams. We're not talking about Walter Payton here.

Right now I wish I'd have been there with Hugh when that prick was asking if anyone else wanted any. I'd have loved a chance to hit that MF.
