That's because I picked GLew with the final pick in my draft.

SUCKAS!

Actually, the way the Summer was going, GLew was a good pick then, too. I don't necessarily expect much out of Reggie Brown tomorrow night, but if this ends up being an extended suspension (e.g., 9 more games), he could turn into a late bloomer.

If not, I'll end up dropping him in two weeks and looking for that week's Ernest Wilford.  ;)

Can Reggie step up?
Can L.J stop fumbling the goddamn ball?
Will Big Red call more than 20 runs?
Can Billy Mac step up?

Tune in to As The Eagles Turn tomorrow night at 8:30pm.

By the way....how tight would it be if Darnerian McCants score a couple times against his old boys tomorrow?

Inky's headline Monday:

Trotter & McCants Lead Eagles To Win In DC...

Or "McCants get enough of ya"  and a shot of McCants dotting the i's in the back of the end zone for a TD.

We don't beat the Chargers without TO either. We win 20-17 and TO had a TD. Also we don't even beat the Raiders. TO caught a TD and had like 4 or 5 HUGE catches in the final drive.

This team is 2-5 without TO.

You can't say that for certain. A team without TO doesn't play the exact same way only without one player's stats included in the box score. It changes the gameplan and changes the gameplan of the defense as well. McNabb reads the receivers differently. Coverage is different. The playcalls are different. The locker room environment and media pressures are different.

Losing a player as good as TO has to have a detrimental effect overall, but I don't think you can point to specific games this season and say "Yup, without TO we would have lost that game." Because the entire game would have played out differently.

All fo you idiots who are claiming that the season is over, or that AR is throwing in the towel are farging retarded. Did you all just start watching this team after they signed TO? They functioned just fine without him before and will finction just fine without him now. The offense won't have that constant big play potential on the outside but they'll get it done. You all need to recognize that this is a good thing. For lots of reasons. And a bad thing for no reasons.

Of course you can't, but if the Eagles go out and look like the 2003 NFCCG, then what kinda message does that say to the fans? This is either going to go really well or REALLY bad. I mean if our receivers just get pushed around and can't get open all night, it's going to be a flat out disaster.

how about the 2004 NFCCG...also without TO.

TO went too far, Reid set rules for this team, a player breaks them, they pay the consequences. would you like it if one of your co-workers went to the other side of your office and told everyone how great he was at his job, but also how a you are doing a crappy job?

I'm not saying it isn't TO's fault. He probably does deserve to get suspended. However, if suspending him makes your team worse, then it isn't worth it. Will it make this team worse? We haven't found that out yet, and we will in about 27 hours. I think the Eagles are going to win the game even without TO, but if they don't then... :-D . I'll just say this town is going to get ugly, considering how important this game is. Andy potentially made a mistake of epic proportions.

I'm at the point where I could care less whether this makes the Eagles a better team or not.  I don't care.  I'm fed up with T.O.  I've been able to look the other way when it comes to his stupid antics this year but I'm sick of it now.  I don't want him back.

I understood him wanting more money.  I supported him getting more money.  I bit my tongue during the entire offseason.  I defended him about his comments after the Super Bowl.  I said "as long as he shows up on Sunday and performs, I don't care."

Well now I do care.  He's an icehole and I don't want to see him back on this team.  He's insulted his QB countless times and he's taken shots at the organization.  And while both McNabb and the Eagles have not stooped to his childish level he continued to take shots at them.  He had the entire city in the palm of his hands after the Super Bowl.  He was in a position to have an even bigger year this year than he did last year.  This team was poised to have a bigger year than last and it's because of him that the Eagles are struggling the way they are.

Yes, there are other issues on the team that need to be addressed as to why the team is underachieving but the bottom line is that TO was the catalyst in all of this.  He's been nothing but a distraction since April.  So to hell with him.  I'm done with TO and hopefully the Eagles are too.

I agree, RJS. One of the negative developments with the offense with Owens in the past 18 months is that the Eagles rely too much on the big play, and not at all on ball control. I think this may be a nice return to more of a ball control offense out of necessity, which will be better for Donovan with his current ailments.

I don't think the Eagles' chances lessened at all if Owens sits for the rest of the year. They're just going to need to play differently; and, either way, their defense needs to STEP UP. Owens wasn't going to help with that side of the ball, anyway. If the defense doesn't play considerably better over the rest of the season, it's not going to much matter what the offense does.

You know, for all of you freaks that got suckered in to supporting TO through everything I'd like to give a nice hearty "I told you so." Good to see that some of you are coming over to the side of reason, even if it is after the fact.

Have any you read the entire interview?? A lot of what he said was take totally out of context. I'm not saying he is innocent as he does enjoy taking stabs at the FO but the Favre comments were completely distorted.

Welcome to the board. Don't start with me. This is typical TO bullshtein and there are no two ways about it. Sure you can take a look at SOME of the things he said this ONE time and say maybe it was taken a little bit out of context. But for real, this is the straw that broke the camel's back. If this were an isolated incident maybe I would agree with you. But it obviously isn't and his ass needs to get kicked to the curb. I hope they fire rubber bullets at his back when they run him out of town.

If he's not with the Eagles next year, who do you guys think he'll be with?

Father Demon

I'm not sure about all that Sarge and rjs.  TO is an ass, no doubt.  But without him, the Eagles are worse.  Before TO, we still had Pinkston to stretch the defenses, and we had a healthy McNabb.  Add that we had a running game (by committee), and the team was in a completely different light than it is now.

Today, we have a short passinig game, and no running game.  In short, an offense that can be controlled by almost any basic defensive scheme.  With TO, at least the Eagles  had a big-play player capable of a 91 yard TD after a 7 yard pass.

AR had to lay the law down, but we are worse off without TO than we were -- even with his stupid-ass mouth.  If the suspension goes all season, I bet we end up 7-9 or 8-8.  But, I think this is a warning shot across the bow, and TO will be back for MNF against Dallas.

I'm just pissed.  I'm pissed that TO is a monkeybutt, and I'm pissed that the Eagles were put in a position to do what they had to do.  There are no winners in this mess.  None.
