TO takes shot at McNabb?

Jay, come on.

He's a cancer who has clearly worn out his welcome in Philly.  I can understand him running his mouth off in the off-season when he was looking for more dough.  But he's throwing his quarterback and teammates under the bus during the season now.

Production or not, he's destroying what little chemistry the team has left because of his own selfish interests.

You simply cannot have that under any circumstances.  Frankly, I'm surprised someone on his team hasn't knocked him the farg out by now.

Every team needs a bad ass to keep the sheep in line and to my knowledge, the Eagles don't have one.

Too bad.  He could use a punch in the mouth.

He's a distraction, yes. But what are you going to do? Allow me to paint two scenarios for you;

1. Things stay as is and Owens continues to pop off now and then but still goes out and helps the team win ballgames.

2. They suspend him as many of you want. Then the Eagles will be in for a fight with the NFLPA. And then the team will be bombarded with even more questions. More than they are now. And then they have this little problem of replacing him in the line-up.

I don't care...there are 9 games left and this team is not dead. You send TO home you are sending the season right down the shteinter.

Damn, I hate to sound like a TO apologist but so what if the guy says what he said? Words are words. Do any of the other players give two shteins about if TO thinks the Eagles brass are a bunch of classless dopes? No.

And he clearly said that they'd be better if Donny Mac was healthy and said that their performance lives and dies with #5.

What is wrong with that?

I don't care about the Favre comment. He pulled the same shtein in SF. That is why I fail to see why everyone continues to get all up in arms about this guy. Is this seriously news?

Rome

I won't go that far.

I think my T.O. jersey has seen the light of day for the last time, though.   Well, until I burn the farging thing after he's cut, anyway.

Alright, don't suspend him.  Let him continue to spew his bullshtein all season until the team gets torn to shreds.

If I were Andy, his ass would be sitting on the bench for the rest of the season.  I'd run the ball 50 goddamn times against the Skins and make T.O. watch every second of it from the sidelines.

Then I'd line up the next week and do the same thing.

Win or lose, this season's toast anyway.   You don't really expect them to win the Super Bowl at this point, do you?  You might as well make a point of showing that the team comes first and that no player is bigger than the whole.

How on Earth can anyone see his presense on this team as a positive? I am dead serious when I say that this team has a better chance to win each weekend without him than it does with him.

As opposed to suspending him and having him go on ESPN and spew even more vile BS? Because you know good gosh darn well it'll happen. And even though he isn't in the locker room it'll have a profound effect on this team.

"Donovan, what do you think of TO saying_________"
"Andy, why did you send TO home?"
"Greg, Reggie, Billy can you guys make up for the loss of TO?"

Dawkins and Trotter, the two big time emotional leaders on this team like TO. They have his back. Trotter and Dawk both say TO helps this team.

Send him home and watch the team crumble.

And I am not giving up on this team. I forget, were all Super Bowl winners dominant from start to finish in every year? Negative, bro.

9 games left.

I never thought I'd see the day when it would get to this point. A bad stretch of games and people have written 'em off. I'm shocked.

Rome

The Eagles aren't finished because of T.O.'s antics.  They're finished because their running game is non-existent, their quarterback is playing at about 50% and their defense is in tatters.

And yeah, I'd sit his farging punk ass because sometimes, addition through subtraction is a good thing.

How anyone can be apologizing for his inexcusable behavior is what's shocking to me.

PS: I haven't written them off.  I'm still going to watch every second of every game.  I'm still going to hope that they'll pull a rabbit out of a hat and make the playoffs.  I'm still hoping that they'll win the Super Bowl but the realist (or cynic - feel free to use whichever term you prefer) won't allow me to truly believe that.  They're done, dude.  Done.

ice grillin you

i agree....but beyond that its the principal of it...what kind of precedence does this set...that if youre a star player you can blast your qb coach and organization as much as you want and get away with it cause youre the best wr on the team...when you do stuff like that it eats away at team morale and creates a counter productive atmosphere in the locker room...how many players are saying to themselves well if TO can do whatever he wants then im not going to give 100%...

there are things we dont see as well that i ive been saying all along will come out at years end...things like TO in practice not listening to coaches not giving 100% sleeping or coming late to meetings...things of that nature will all come out after the season...and again you will hear how much this fiasco has hurt the team...

for god sakes you have a player on the team that is continously shteinting all over his coaches and qb and yet he gets to stay????...i dont see how you can go along with that simply because hes the best wr on the team...in 25 years there will be no TO or andy or donovan but there will be a philadelphia eagles and nothing is above the philadelphia eagles...not the owner not the coach and certainly not some bitch ass wr....
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

PhillyPhreak54

And none of those problems can be fixed in the final 9 games? Especially in an extremely flawed NFC?

I'm not apologizing for him. I do not like the Favre comment or the petty bitching about the 100th TD. But the 100th TD shtein has zero effect on the team. And the Favre comment is consistent with TO's MO. He did it in SF and he'll continue to do it wherever he is next year.

I do not thin they are done at all.

TO at WR is a good thing for this team.

I couldn't have put it better myself. Disagreeing with what you said is nothing but wishful thinking.

OK, the T.O. apologists are starting to remind me of Karl Rove supporters.

They are certainly not going to morph into a Super Bowl team with McNabb injured, T.O. talking trash, and Westbrook's vagina all sore because the Eagles fail to reach his continually-increasing contract demands.  Those are easily the 3 best players on the offense.

Oh, and in other news... the defense has developed a habit of giving up 30+/game.

Oh, and by the way... the special teams is now using a castoff punter, doesn't have a kick returner, and is hoping to get a Pro Bowl kicker back that was anything but stellar this year even before the injury.

Nevermind that the coach is apparently trying to kill the injured franchise QB by first not making him take care of his long-term health by getting surgery, then by setting team records for pass attempts, instead of adapting by mixing in Westbrook and Gordon more often in the running game.

Look, I do not want Andy Reid fired.  I do not think the team is more likely to win without Terrell Owens.  I do want Brian Westbrook to get paid and continue making plays for the Eagles.  All that said, it's Andy's job to get this ship righted, and shutting Owens up one way or another would be a good start.  Andy has absolutely lost control of this team, and that is not something that happens during a Super Bowl winning season.

I love this team, and I want them to win the Super Bowl more than almost anything else I've wanted in my whole life... and that's why I can say with confidence that this is absolutely not going to be the season that happens.

Like Tony Bruno is saying...

TO is a great football player. he is delusional, all that matters to him is self importance. He's not a criminal, he's just a self absorbed guy who has no grasp on reality.

He says to sit back and stop spewing the vitriol Philadelphia and realize that TO is a great football player.

He's delusional and when he goes out and plays, he plays. What matters between games does not matter.

Reid is dooming this team by not running the ball. The defense need sto get fixed and McNabb needs to get healthy. Those are more pressing concerns than TO's chirping.
