A friend mentioned to me yesterday that Limewire is still up and running with the best of 'em...

true?

I'm looking into an mp3 player soon (for flying to all these damn Eagles games!) - and I'm on a need-to-know basis...

Recommendations/suggestions and curt comments welcome, as always...

I use Limewire, and it's still free.  I can find most songs I'm looking for, but not stuff that's very obscure.  Their search engine is a little too detailed (you can input Band name, song name, album name, track number, etc) because it comes down to searching whatever someone has named the file.

I usually only search by key words in the title, or band name, and have success.

Thanks, guys...

a friend loaned me her iPod for the flight home to PA last weekend...and it was great on the plane.  I really hate to fly (not after a couple drinks, however) - and the iPod was great for drowning out the airplane engine sounds...

I'd like to "get on it" before the DC game...I'll be flying into DC that Friday night, if plans run their course...

Somebody told me Limewire farged up their computer. Any truth to this? I'm all for downloading free music.  :yay

DJ Sassy Sassum didn't have a great experience with Limewire but DJ Sassy Sassum knows plenty of people who use it on a regular basis.  DJ Sassy Sassum does not know why his computer was singled out, however he no longer uses Limewire.

Threads like this make me feel old.  I have no idea what Limewire is.  I don't venture at all.  I've never heard of this thing, and y'all are talking about it like it's been common knowledge for the past 5 years.  Perhaps it has, and I just don't have much common knowledge.  Either way, I feel dumb.

Don't feel bad, I had no idea it existed till 2 weeks ago when I bought my Sister an iPOD for her B-Day.

DJ Sassy Sassum didn't know about Limewire until a couple of months ago either.  DJ Sassy Sassum also regrets ever hearing about it.  DJ Sassy Sassum misses his old hard drive and all of the porn that was stored on it.   :'(
