Per PE.com transactions/roster update

Lee was a decent DE for Florida but went undrafted, tried out for the Cowboys and didn't make it, then played for Berlin in NFLE...

OVERVIEW
Consummate team player who sacrificed personal success for that of the squad ... Made the most of his starting opportunity as a senior, proving to be one of the more disruptive forces in the Southeastern Conference ... Started 14 of 44 games for the Gators, recording 114 tackles (57 solos) with eight sacks for minus-53 yards, 11 stops for losses of 57 yards, 35 quarterback pressures (10 caused interceptions), two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and five pass deflections.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has a good frame with a thick upper body, well-developed chest and long arms ... Has the sudden quickness needed to gain position off the ball and is an alert player with the instincts to avoid low blocks ... Has the size and strength to battle at the point of attack, using his leg drive and hands swipes aggressively to shed ... Plays with good leverage, staying low in his pads with legs wide to prevent blockers from knocking him off-balance ... Very effective using his hands to control the tight ends ... Pursues hard to the backside, showing the short area quickness to string the plays wide ... Has the change-of-direction agility to flatten down the line well and displays the foot speed to chase plays ... Swings his hips and drops back into pass coverage effectively ... Has solid counter moves to the inside, displaying the body control and knee bend needed to consistently apply pass rush pressure.

Negatives: Has a strong inside gap charge, but tends to get too upright in his rush, causing blockers to lock on ... Not natural with his hands, struggling to maintain contact when facing up (gets tied up too much) ... Late to locate the ball when working through traffic ... Needs to develop more strength (limited in the weight room last spring, as he was recovering from a late 2002 wrist injury) ... Good in backside pursuit, but hesitates a bit when asked to move laterally ... Must add more bulk to his frame in order to withstand the punishment at the pro level.

AGILITY TESTS
4.79 in the 40-yard dash ... 315-pound bench press (recovering from his wrist fracture during this test) ... 520-pound squat ... 325-pound power clean ... 35-inch vertical jump ... 32 5/8-inch arm length ... 10-inch hands ... Right-handed.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Kirkwood (Mo.) High, playing football for coach Mike Wade ... Considered one of the nation's elite prep defensive players in 1999 ... Consensus All-America choice ... First-team USA Today All-America selection as a defensive end, adding Gatorade Player of the Year honors for Missouri ... Parade All-America choice ... Super Prep named him the Defensive Player of the Year for the Midlands, among the nation's top 15 players overall and ranked him as one of the top three defensive linemen in the nation ... Prep Football Report selected him among the top three players in the nation overall and the top defensive player ... Named to Prep Star's All-America Dream Team and that publication named him among the nation's top four defensive linemen ... Named to Rivals.com network All-America Team and that network ranked him among the nation's top three linebackers ... National Bluechips All-America pick and that publication ranked him among the top three strongside linebacker prospects in the nation ... Recorded 101 tackles in 1999 with 26 stops for losses (12 sacks) ... Had 18 sacks as a junior and his 49 career sacks set a school record.
PERSONAL
Commercial Recreation major ... Son of Laurice and William Lee, Sr. ... Born Darrell Lee on June 28, 1982 ... Resides in Kirkwood, Mo.

That writeup on him was pretty damn positive. He'll totally rule the practice squad.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Wingspan

he may lead all PS'ers in football cliche's if that writeup is any indication.

if i may add, i am looking forward to the Alonzo Jackson:

a) dick slurping threads when he gets 2 sacks for the giants, on how the birds were stupid for letting him go

b) grave dancing threads when he winds up sucking for them
