I find it endlessly ironic that our British brother here is a baseball fan. The UK has some of the most amazing sports I've ever seen (hurling, comes immediately to mind) and yet you choose to follow the most boring team sport ever created. Unfathomable.

i can understand why people think it's boring.  but i've played it my whole life and still love it.  not more than football, but i love baseball.

OK, if you've played the game your whole life, there isn't much anyone can do to convince you otherwise. But I played the game for the majority of the time I was growing up. Played on several little league travel teams and to this day know as much about the sport as just about anyone (within reason, don't start nitpicking, ass). And I still find it unbearably boring.

Anyone who hasn't ever seen a hurling match, do whatever you have to to take one in. Travel to Scotland if you must. It's friggin awesome.

It's some insane combination of lacrosse, rugby, aussie rules football and field hockey. The first game I ever watched, some dude wound up and took a shot at the goal from about 6 yards away and NAILED the goalie in the face with a ball that is about the size and density of a field hockey ball (in other words kind of big and HARD). The dude went down in a heap, trainers rush out, blood everywhere, they use smelling salts to wake him up. He gets up, wraps a hand towel from one of the trainers around his head and finished the half without cleaning up or getting stitched up or anything. It was farging sick. And awesome.
