Map to sex offenders


An interesting website. Click on the free map and type in your info.

Scary how close to home some of them are to schools and stuff.  Luckily, the nearest to me is about 3/4 of a mile.

Sadly, PA isn't available.  What's up with that?

The one crazy thing would be if one day the robots would make all of our personality characteristics available to the public and we all had access to those maps for example

Sex Offenders
Arsonists
People With Cancer
People With Heart Problems
Republicans
The Depressed
Disabled
Heteros
etc.,

That would be one hell of a way to discriminate against people. Looking at it, aren't these part of and FBI background investigation?

On the other hand,

sex offender itself is a way too broad category... it could range from the rapist, kiddy-porn distributor or child-molester to a videostore owner selling legal (involving consenting adults) porn which some prude DA finds offensive. Or maybe even a couple caught getting it on in nature...

While the first group would sincerely worry me, the second group poses, IMHO, no harm to society. And to have these painted with a broad brush is completely wrong and unfair. Besides the fact that mistakes are easily made with these kinds of sites... in fact, not too long ago there was a family whose life was destroyed because a similar site/organization screwed up and overzealous neighbours became vigilantes, apart from spreading rumors and turning the kids' life into a hell...

Also, I believe that if you are caught having sex in public, like the backseat of a car, you can also fall under this label.

What if you sexually offend yourself and your ladyfriend on a regular basis? Is there a map to me on there?

I agree with you, Dutch.

An 18 year old having consensual sex with his 17 year old girlfriend can be convicted of sex with a minor, labeling him a sex offender.  Taking a leak outside can land you an indecent exposure snag, and you're branded for life as a sex offender.

There are a lot of thinigs that, as said, don't make a person a threat to society.  But, even so, I'm fine with seeing where the rapists live.  And then going over to take a dump on their lawn.

I was under the impression that, at least in PA, that a two year difference is required before statutory laws could be affected.  Meaning 16-18 is okay, however, 16-14 is not because the cutoff is 15.  I very well could be wrong but that is what I was told in my PES class 4 years ago.
