And I don't care. Keep catching TDs and helping the team win.

That's all I give a shtein about. His comments on the radio mean jack shtein to me.

He is a god on the football field. Period. That's all I give a shtein about.

The thing about TO is he's going to have an issue with every QB he'll ever have in his career, because that is the way TO is. He thinks he'll love playing with Manning now, but the second he chokes in another playoff game, in the post game you'd hear TO saying stuff like "I'm not the guy who game up small when it counted." The Eagles aren't going to care about what TO says unless he starts doing what he did in the offseason, but that part of TO seems to be under control right now. The Eagles know what he means to the team, and a few comments that didn't trash anyone directly don't really mean anything.

He is playing all of us. He loves playing in Philly. He and Donovan never had a falling out. They had all this stuff planned out.

What he said doesn't mean he doesn't like playing here. What he meant was, if he could go back in time knowing what he knows now(about what would happen with his contract) he wouldn't choose the Eagles because of what he'd be going through with the contract issues.

It's nothing against his teammates or the coaching staff. He loves Andy and everyone else for putting together such great game plans that get him great production. He's said that before.

I think MOST of us realize that. Except those looking for a story.

QuoteT.O. continues to focus on positives, despite what he thinks his critics say

By BOB COONEY
cooneyb@phillynews.com

After listening to Terrell Owens' radio show yesterday, one question came to mind.

Where are all these people who seem to have nothing else to do in life but to blast the Eagles' wide receiver? Apparently, he hears them, non-stop, every day. Maybe he gets different newspapers and television channels in his world.

On his weekly radio gig for Miami-based WAXY (790-AM), and heard here on WIP (610-AM), Owens again lamented about how he's just playing the game and not listening to all the criticism people are laying on him.

"All the commentaries and all the analysts, they're saying this and that about me," he said. "It gives everybody the perception across the country that I'm a negative person, that I'm a disruptive teammate. It doesn't bother me. Whatever they say they can say. Because the only people that really matter to me is my family. I'm the one who's having the last laugh. Where are all these T.O. bashers?

Anyway, after talking about the team's great character in coming back from an 18-point deficit Sunday in Kansas City, Owens talked of his ability to catch the ball inside and out and how this team poses many problems for opponents.

"We have so much talent on that team that we create a lot of headaches," he said. "You've got L.J. [Smith] to work the middle, I work the middle. You got [Brian] Westbrook who can come out of the backfield and go out as a receiver."

He even went further to say this is the most talented offensive team he's ever been on.

"This could rank as one of the more explosive offenses [ever]. Before I got to San Francisco, the Niners had Joe Montana, Roger Craig, Ricky Watters, William Floyd, Jerry Rice, Brent Jones, John Taylor. You can mirror a lot of guys on this team to a lot of guys on that team."

Finally, he was asked whether, if he could do 2004 all over again, he would choose to play for someone besides the Eagles.

"Probably so. Just going through some of the headaches I've had to go through. There's a lot of things that kind of factored in to me making my decision. And obviously, I had a different agent than I have now. Probably so, had I known some of the things that I know now."

Him ripping his former agent is the thing that makes me laugh the loudest.  Man, what a toolbox.   :-D

I agree with PG, though.  Who gives a shtein if he's a whiny bitch?  So long as he continues playing like a God on the field, why would I care if he cries like a Hoyda every time someone asks him a question about his contract or his personal life?  It doesn't affect my life in any way, so why give a shtein about it?

He also said if he could play with any QB in football he'd play with Peyton Manning. WIP is making a big deal out of it, but I assumed he meant other than Mcnabb. Even if he didn't, it's not a rip on Mcnabb, it's a praise of Manning.

He said that last week and on Letterman that other than McNabb, Manning is the guy he'd love to play with.

wrong, kinda. Letterman asked "other than mcnabb, who would you..." *there is a slight difference)– but the guys on the radio said "if you could start a team with any QB in the league, who would it be?" in which our resident retard said manning.

But he had nowhere else to go except Baltimore, and if you thought he complains too much now, imagine if he had to deal with the Boller/Wright/Kordella situation and not having any cap room....

Alright now, he wouldn't be catching all those TD's in B-more, I guarantee that.

Eagles Notes Owens says he regrets returning for the Super Bowl

By Shannon Ryan

Inquirer Staff Writer

Last week, Terrell Owens said he would not have joined the Eagles if he could go back in time. This week, he said he would not have played in the Super Bowl.

The wide receiver went against medical advice to play - magnificently - in the Super Bowl after suffering a severe high ankle sprain and fractured fibula. He said he would not be willing to do so now, after his contract dispute with the Eagles.

"No, I wouldn't have," he said during his weekly call-in to a Miami radio station. "I wouldn't have risked my career. I felt like I went over and beyond the call of duty for the team. With the contract situation... I think that my performance speaks for itself. For me being dedicated and trying to get on the field, I thought, would speak volumes."

Recently, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb spoke candidly about his belief that the Eagles should pay Brian Westbrook more money. But when asked about Owens' contract demands, McNabb had said that he did not get into other players' contract situations.

When asked yesterday about the quarterback's stances, Owens said: "All I can say is two words: Go figure."

The hosts did not ask any follow-up questions.

Owens also addressed a few topics from the Dallas game Sunday, and not just the Birds' embarrassing 33-10 loss.

After the game, Owens was seen leaving Texas Stadium in a No. 88 Michael Irvin Cowboys jersey. If fans were bothered, Owens said yesterday, they can go shopping for him.

"I have a choice to wear whatever I want to wear," he said. "That's part of my wardrobe. It doesn't matter what the fans think. If they're going to stock my closet with a new wardrobe or if they want to be my fashion stylist for the week, [they can]."

If Owens was not putting himself in other clothes, he was putting himself in someone else's shoes.

He said that had he been the one arguing with his quarterback on the sideline, like Cowboys receiver Keyshawn Johnson did with quarterback Drew Bledsoe, the incident would have received far more coverage.

"Had it been myself, it would have been on every major network in the country," Owens said. "Obviously, people have it out for me. Believe me, it would have been the topic of every sports channel in the country. It's funny how it slipped under the rug."

He is teh awsum.

:yay

PhillyGirl

lol, I said the same thing about the Bledsoe/Johnson thing.

The Irvin jersey thing was SO ridiculously blown out of proportion. Like when AI wore the Celtics shirt or whatever after a game in the press conference. Who farging cares? I love the fans who were like, "I put in so much to this team that him wearing that (hat/jersey) is throwing it back in our faces." Wtf are you TALKING about?  ::)
