Word on the street is that Lo Duca and Seo or Benson may be sent to Arizona for Vazquez and a prospect.  But even if that doesnt pan out, theres Pedro, Glavine, Zambrano, Seo and Trachsel.  I wouldnt say thats the best starting pitching staff ever, but its certainly more than nothing.
And Reyes is 22 years old, cut him some slack, he's only gonna get better.

Vazquez is vastly overrated by the media. They seem to think he is a top of the rotation starter, when in fact he kinda comparable to jeff suppan and jeff weaver. yea, big names.

martinez and glavine are both old. zambrano, benson and trashal are all average. trashal just kills the phillies, like everyone seems to do. the mets suck.

All your points are valid, but when theyre trying to win this year it doesnt matter how old martinez or glavine are.  Its like saying that you dont want Roger Clemens on your team next season cause he is forty-something.  Glavine was much better in the second half last year anyway.
