I don't solely blame McNabb, but he was largely at fault.  He made some bad decisions, was erratic passing, and TO was playing too much like Moss for my tastes.  Yeah, he got big yards, but he also wasn't giving 181% on some plays - Hall interception he did little to break up or tackle, 3rd and 5 at the end of the first to name a few.
Anyone but Reid.

how many times can the friggin offense line have an "illegal formation" penalty in one game

its what happens when you have to throw a rookie full bore into this offense...reggie is so overwhelmed as to what route hes supposed to run that he forget where and how to line up
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I'm sure Reggie Brown's name got called a couple of times there. Agree with most other points about o-line, defense, special teams, coaching etc., but McNabb DID suck too. An absolute horseshtein performance, but a game we could have won.

Labingo was getting pushed around all night, and looked like shtein. With Trotter in there, the Falcons DO NOT rush for 200 yards.

I disagree with this big time LabinJo was far from the only problem. And since when did rush yards become a HUGE problem for this team? They can give up 14 points for all I care, the OFFENSE was the problem.

I'm not saying that the offense wasn't part of the problem, and yes, when you get rushed on for 200 yards, it's a big problem. 200 yards and how many tackles did our mlb have?? Three. He sucked.

Bullshtein, bullshtein, and more bullshtein. The winningest coach in the NFL the last five years and his coaching is "always horrible??" Give me a friggen break.

always horrible is an exaggeration....but reid is not a good game coach...period..to say the coaching was bad last night is like zzzzzzz

as for lewis could you tell me exactly what hes ever done to prove hes worthy of #3 status much less #2

i said this when pinky went down...the eagles wr's are like a baseball rotation that loses a starter and are all out of wack...lewis is a 3 playing 2...brown a 4 playing 3 ect....

What he did in the playoffs and SB last year alone is enough to make him a no.2 in my book, and most definitely a no.3.

Maybe you can tell me exactly what the farg Pinkston has ever done to make him a no.2 reciever? He wouldn't even start on half the teams in the NFL.

mcnabb sucked...partially because the o-line sucked.  i pray that hicks or fraley dont' get #5 killed this season.
the playcalling was brutal...45 passes, 14 rushes.  in last year's nfc champ game, the eagles threw 27 times & ran 33 times.  i guess andy forgot what worked.
like pg said, the punt return/kick return units sucked.
akers missing 2 fg's in a dome...can't really explain that one. ???
the punt/kick coverage units were very good.
the D got run on, as usual, but really beared down in the 2nd half & did enough for the team to win.
i thought patterson played well...i saw more out of him than i did hollis or rayburn.
dawkins was dawkins.
kearse was invisible.

going forward, the o-line is my only real concern...we know what mcnabb is capable of when they give him some time.  hopefully runyan & thomas will get younger & faster...and hicks & fraley will suck less...andrews was okay, imo.

I agree, but still, great qb's find a way to get the job done and McNabb couldn't do it last night. His passes were all over the place, mostly when he was getting pressured but even when he wasn't.

That boggles my mind. It wasn't enought that Trotter was ejected before the game even started. Six points from the two he missed and we win. I guess it just wasn't meant to be last night.

he served a purpose...he stretched the field and also was a guy that mcnabb could have confidence in to go up and get a ball...mcnabb cant do that with lewis...i disagree about pinkston...there are many teams hed be a two on...hes a good 2 when across from a stud one like owens...hes not going to create on his own tho...but he still can get by as an nfl #2...whereas lewis has yet to ever prove that

youre asking a lot for an unproven undrafted free agent to step into a starting role on a superbowl team like that...its possible he could be up to the task..well see...but i think people have penciled him in like its a foregone conclusion that he will be better than pinky and automatically transition into the spot

kearse was invisible

both ends were...but thats because they get held back against vick...you have to play contain and stay conservative...that said im still waiting for kearse to pin his ears back and get one of his patented blind side sack force fumbles...i thought jj got a little too cute with him at times last year
