OK, who wants to argue that TO isn't willing to sell out?

Yeah, yeah, I'm drunk and pissed off.  And McNabb played terrible, but, TO did not give his all, and I think it was his ego coming through, and I'm really sick of the apologists.

Of course, Akers certainly didn't help his contract issues by missing 2 FGs that would've won this farging game.  farging terrible from all sides. :boom

Huh? Sleep it off, bro. Where didn't he give his all? What'd he have? 7 for 119?

Phreak,

Like I said, I originally chalked it up to my imagination, but I saw some signs where I was wondering where TO's head was.  He had several drops, allowed Hall to blanket and manhandle him pretty much at will, and I thought could have made a better effort at that one over the middle.

I won't say that he intentionally threw the game or not give his best effort.  To be honest, he and McNabb both didn't seem mentally sharp tonight.

And I can't just "sleep it off."  I don't drink. (Unless Sugar-Free Orangeade has something I don't know about in it.  :paranoid)

MDS

The Eagles beat themselves again.

Didinger just brought up a good point that this Oline unit barely played together in the preseason or at all before. They will improve.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't know if you guys thought the same thing, but when Trotter got kicked out of that game, that really fired up the Falcons and completely sucked the wind out of the Eagles. The Eagles played with ZERO heart tonight.

I thought the defense came out a little flat but really stepped it up in the 2nd quarter and kept it going through the rest of the game.

1. Donovan McNabb
2. David Akers (16-14, we shoulda won)
3. Offensive Line

There's your culprits. Nothing else.
4. Trotter

Yeah..because the defense lost this game.

The defense was on tonight. They gave up 14 points in the 1st quarter and nothing else. And got turnovers.

Big Red did not start his PC out with injuries! He started by blaming himself :-D

Ok...no injuries.

hunt

andy needs to do a better job of putting the players in a position to be successful on the offensive side of the ball.

Maybe not.  The Falcons may have kicked a FG instead of going for that 4th down on our 20.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

ice grillin you

lay off akers...the field goals werent chip shots...should he have made one of them yes...did he lose the game..no way

mcnabb as i said earlier in the thread was brain dead tonite...not just physically but he showed absolutely no emotion...looked like he wanted to be anywhere else in the world but in that stadium...if he isnt really banged up from that spear id be surprised...and concerned
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

WEST is GOD

Yea guys, our defense stepped it up... BUT, if they weren't running the ball all over us, that bomb to Jenkins would've been compltely covered. We brought extra men up in the box to stop the run. If Trotter was there we'd be cool.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

This is 1 game. Were gonna kill San Fran Sunday, be back on track. We might as well enjoy the NFC East cellar while we can, aint gonna be in there long.

the complete lack of a running game didn't help either.

I think McNabb is more hurt then anyone is letting on, he would have taken off in the second half last year. Unless they had a spy that I could not see on TV. He is hurting.

PhillyPhreak54

dumb penalties too...how many farging illegal procedure calls tonight? WRs not lining up on the end of the line THREE TIMES.

And Little John needs to pull his head out of his ass too.

Give the Falcons defense credit. But the Eagles should've won this game.

Akers' 2 misses were HUGE. 16-14

absolutely none.

and I still think Mcnabb has something wrong with him. This was his WORST game in a year. He played TERRIBLE tonight.

I'm not sure I agree with this totally.  The defense stiffened up in the second half and single-handedly kept the Eagles within a score of winning this game.  With ANY support from the offense or one supposedly stellar kicker, this game could have and maybe should have been won.

The defense showed a lot of chutzpah in the second half.  The offense... well, that's another story.  :boom

And I agree about McNabb.  He wasn't mentally in the game at all after that hit.  Even though the hit was to the chest, I wondered a time or two about a concussion.  Or perhaps the chest injury made him too skitish to make good decisions.  Whatever, I agree that this was his worst performance since... probably the Pittsburgh game.

WEST is GOD

I agree with hunt. As much as I love Westbrook, he is NOT good in between the tackles and is easy to wrap up in the backfield. He's insanely hard to bring down in the open field though.

Come on...Jenkins was double covered by Brown & Dawkins. It was covered. Just a good play by Jenkins.
