 :-D

He couldn't find a use for Coles last year. If the Eagles want him let's see what a real coaching staff can do with him.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

Nah.

McCants probably said something out loud about how Gibbs' playbook should be in mothballs in the Smithsonian.

That's a sin around the Beltway.

QuoteMatt, NY: Hi Len, any thoughts on where just released WR Darnerian McCants may end up? Would Philly be a possible destination since they're thin at WR?

Len Pasquarelli: philly could be a possibility . . . can't figure out why this taterskins staff never really liked mccants very much . . . i don't think he's a big-time player, but i do think he can play in the league

WEST is GOD

He was a converted TE to WR, so maybe we could use him as a TE?

why don't you guys go check out his website, it's called www.darnerien.com, apparantly he has no hard feelings towards the skins.  go ahead and take him, none of your guys' opinions are worth a damn, if you think our coaching staff is worth shtein, and he could be productive because of your guys "super great" coaching staff, then your obviously biased. when len pastabelly's opinion becomes the truth, i'll quit being a taterskins fan.

You have to realize that we hate your team.  We want you to fail, and we've been enjoying the recent years of high hopes and low outcomes.  Thus, any thread in which we discuss the taterskins is usually "anti-taterskins".

i know, i know. i'm gradually getting used to all this anti taterskins stuff.

taterskins suck.

good one. :yay

PhillyGirl

MURP isn't lying....the Skins have lost to the Eagles 7 straight times...and 8 out of the last 9 times.

To Eagles fans...the Skins do, in fact, suck.

You can understand why there are reasonable concerns about you coaching staff I hope.  Coach Gibbs had a tremendously long layoff, when he came back almost everybody on the national stage said the skins would be instant SB contenders (that clearly has not happened).    There have been several questionable personel moves the biggest would be giving up so much for the washed up Brunnell.  Taking Jason Campbell is also somewhat of a head scratcher giving some of your other needs.  Also Portis seemed to be misused greatly.  Those are just a few things, certainly Gibbs has pedigree but at this point that is all he has.

A few years ago while I was living down in DC (I think it was the last year of the Old Ball Coach experiment) McCants had a pretty productive season, a bunch of short yardage TDs, etc.

What's the concensus on him? Is he poopoo platter? Could he be productive here? Is he worth looking at? Answers people. I need answers.

Darnerien rarely drops a pass. He is a valuable weapon in the redzone.

He is known for not taking practice seriously and not participating in special teams. In training camp this year, he gave a half-hearted effort during practice. It seemed like he wanted to be cut after being inactive for 10 games last year.

While he doesn't care about practice, he does produce when he is thrown to during game time.

Your receiver corps will be significantly upgraded if you sign him.

I think he's a decent reciever but if he couldn't beat out the likes of James Thrash for a roster spot then I have to wonder how good he really is.

I wouldn't mind the Eagles taking a look at him.  Re: Thrash beat him out...I don't give the scouts and coaches over there any respect.  They couldn't tell a good reciever from a lump of shtein.

Thrash didn't make the team over DMac because of receiver skills. He made it because he is a class guy that Gibbs loves and is very valuable on special teams. He is rarely used as a receiver but isn't too bad when he is.

Well, it is an Eagles board.
