According to the box-score, a tie did not exactly happen... still, looking at this, I did not realize the Flyers are actually the top team in the NHL right now... wow...

I just meant at the time.  Unfortunately, in the 3rd period only one team came out to play right away, and it wasn't the team from Philly.  Could have been the fact that they played the night before, but the Flyers just seemed flat.

Still, about the best we could expect from an 11-game roadie.  :yay

Rome

8-2-1 on an 11 game road trip is f'n phenomenal.  Trips like that are practically unheard of in the NHL, yet somehow, the Flyers managed to pull it together and roar through it.

Well done, boys.

nice road trip but if you had read what i wrote before they went on it you would see that its about what they should have done...in reality it wasnt even a true road trip as they returned home twice during it...it was more 11 games away from the wock than it was a 11 game roadie

the road trip is actually not as bad as it seems...five of the games are btwn nyc and wash dc...chi is the farthest west they go...and only three of the eleven games are against above .500 teams

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

2-1 Colorado after 2.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there are a lot more broken sticks this season?

These announcers are brutal.

PhillyPhreak54

Forsberg ties it with only 1:12 to go!

:boom Too many freaking penalties in OT.

SD_Eagle5

Colorado wins in OT 4-3.

Brillant move by Hitchcock pulling the goalie with 3 minutes left and the PP (probably would have called him an idiot if the Avs would have scored). The Avs dominated OT, even when they weren't on the PP. Nitty did his best to keep them alive until the goal.

Can't blame Nitty... the goalie can only do so much.

Too bad the flyers had that long week off during the second week of the season.  Todays game sucked until the final five minutes of regulation.  Nitty played his ass off and Gagne is just ridiculous this year.

Quotea team source said Therien could be bought out of his contract or waived this week once Joni Pitkanen returns to the lineup Thursday .. Niittymaki was officially named to the Finnish Olympic team Saturday replacing Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff.
