QuoteTerrell Owens and Tra Thomas will start with the first-team offense and the unit will likely play into the second half of Friday's home preseason tilt with the Bengals. Head coach Andy Reid announced his personnel rotation following the team's morning walk-through on Thursday.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb will see a majority of the action, while Koy Detmer and Andy Hall will split duties for the remainder of the second half.

"The first unit will go for a half and possibly the beginning of the second half," Reid said. "We'll see how it goes after that."

The return of Owens and Thomas to the starting lineup is key considering this may be the last game action for the starters before the Sept. 12 opener in Atlanta.

QuoteOwens will start alongside Greg Lewis, with rookie Reggie Brown filling the No. 3 role.

As for the running back situation, Reid says he "feels comfortable with any of the four" with the first-team unit. However, he would not say whether rookie Ryan Moats would see action with that group.

QuoteAs for injured players, Reid said the following players will not play in Friday's game with Cincinnati: safety Sean Considine, quarterback Mike McMahon, defensive tackles Sam Rayburn and Jamaal Green, cornerback Linj Shell, running back Correll Buckhalter, defensive end Trent Cole, offensive lineman Jamaal Jackson, receiver Justin Jenkins and cornerback/returner Dexter Wynn.

McMahon has a slight PCL sprain, but he was not scheduled to play this week. Shell, meanwhile, suffered a stress fracture in his foot in Wednesday's practice.

Rayburn did practice this week, but Reid says his elbow is "not quite right yet

I wouldn't be surprised at all for them to put Considine on PUP to start the season and give Thornburg a chance on the active roster for 6 weeks.

Nonsense! There is a better chance of Patterson becoming our "hypothetcial" power back.

I knew there was a reason i liked Norm.  Good luck 7th rounder!

Larry

Considine will probably not see much action this year...he's fallen in the same predicament as Ware did last season.
More Mahe please.

lol.

1.  As if anyone wants him to play outside special teams anytime soon.  2 pro bowl safeties entrenched.
2.  Ike Reese didnt play much outside of special teams for most of his career, yet he was an important part of the team for many years.
3.  Like you know jack about Considine anyway.   I guess you have a hawkeye blanket in your crib?  :deion
