The people on this site understand football better than the fans on any message board I've ever been to. They also happen to be Eagles fans. You're not going to get a whole ot of respect here because your team is garbage and your fans are completely incapable of seeing that. To be treated as an intelligent fan of a rival team you must first aknowledge that Skins fans (stereotypically) have no grasp of the depths their team has sunk to before any of us will give you the smallest bit of credit. I have lots of friends who are Skins fans since I spent most of my adult life living around DC, and I can tell you that only one of them has any sort of realistic outlook on the team. I win lots of money betting against the Skins from the other ones. It's like some disease that resides in the DC Metro area's drinking water. You're all incapable of recognizing your pile of shtein football team for what it is, even though there is over a decade's worth of evidence at your disposal to prove it.

The fact of the matter is that the taterskins are terrible and have been for the entire Dan Snyder reign. There doesn't appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel either as they continuously fumble through every offseason and have no hope of ever putting a consistant product on the field while Snyder is the owner. So either start there, prove that you aren't an idiot, or expect everyone here to treat you like a typical delusional skins fan nitwit.

Even with our piece of shtein offense we managed to hold the ball longer in our offense's hands, and have less plays than your D.  your defense had a greater time of possession than your great offense.  Even our offense held the ball longer than our D. 

  Our points were given up due to the field position that our offense put us in on every play, many points were field goals that were just made even when the team went 3 and out.

  We had 3 less FDs per game(which seperates us by about 12-15 teams) we had much less yards per game and you only beat us by 2 turnovers. 

We beat you in 3rd down percentage where we ranked second and you ranked around the middle

The only statistical catagory that you did well in was yards per play but we even beat you in that while we ranked second and you ranked somewhere in the top ten or so. 

By putting our D with your offense you would make our D even better than it is.  It is even more credit that we ranked 3rd in D when our offense ranked 3rd from last in offense.

We're all very proud of your team's defense, but this is a TEAM sport and since 2/3 of your team sucks donkey chode it doesn't really matter how good the other 1/3 is no does it?

That's what they did all last year. The game against the Lions, the score was 21-0 before a lot of people even found their seats (exaggeration, but you get the point).

Time of possession means nothing, yards allowed...nothing.

POINTS ON THE SCOREBOARD AT THE END OF THE GAME is all that matters. If you think otherwise, you are delusional beyond repair.

Stop pimping out useless stats. We went 13-1 (last two games don't count) and made the superbowl. You went 5-11 and lost to Dallas twice. We gave up less points than you. That is the only stat the really matters on defense. Who cares about 3rd down conversion percentage and time of possession. Our offense was better than yours, our defense was better than yours. In fact, every single thing about our franchise down to the stadium food and cheerleaders is better than the taterskins. Stop with the useless stats. Just admit the Skins are trash and will be as long as Danny boy is running the ship.

So true, Phreak...the ONLY defensive stat that matters, bottom line, is points allowed. Even while resting all of the starters in the last two games (and the second and third stringers giving up 58 points in those two games), the Eagles still led the NFC in points against (260), and were second in the NFL only to Pittsburgh, with 251.

What the yardage and TOP stats don't show is that the Eagles may let teams move between the twenties, but they don't let them score TDs. Also, as several have pointed out, the Eagles offense takes so little time to score in most cases, the defense doesn't get much time off the field, so the TOP stats are significantly skewed.

Pretty friggin' impressive, if you ask me...and scary to think that the 2005 Eagles defense will be even better.

Again with our offense your D would be horrible, like it was said this is a team game and 1/3 of the team can't do it all.  A good offense will help a Defense and a good defense will help an offense.

Look at the steelers, i don't think there offense is the shtein but their D did very well and helped them out. 

Without our D our offense would be worse than it was last year, it would rival one of the worst in the past decade.

LOL, you realize that the 120 yards per game on the ground is usually at the end of the game when it matters for shtein. Take, for example, the opening game last year vs. the Giants. Tiki Barber had 125 yards total for the game. 72 of them came with like 5 minutes left to play in a game the Eagles were winning 31-10. That's how it worked all year. Don't throw that bogus stat at me, I'll beat you every time.

And for the yards run earlier in the game? Well, if you can't get in the endzone, what the farg is the point?
