 >:( I've been upset about some of the moves, but alot has to do with players wanting more money than a reasonable team will pay. I hated when big Hugh left, but I understood he went to a team desperate enough to pay him huge money and gamble on him. Same with Duce, Vincent and Taylor. I also couldn't understand why we disn't go after a wideout before last season. Having said that we are poised to be a contender for years. I like the overall plan for the org. We aren't selling our souls for one season or two. We are consistently Great. Our wins will come and I won't have to sit thru non-playoff years. I hate when the media attepts to belittle or rip Reid for the big game. Only one team wins it each year. Is Marv Levy a failure? I don't think so. I've learned not to be greedy and be happy my team is sucessful and as long as 5 is around I know we can win any game anytime. :cfhead :cfhead

I root for the team, and I trust that AR believes he can control this situation.  That being said, I think TO is a turd and would like nothing better than to win 12 games and go to the SB with Lewis and Brown as our starters.  And, as Reid has said repeatedly, we can win with those guys, and I believe him when he says that too.
Anyone but Reid.

Sure I trust Reid.  Don't mean I have to like or cheer for TO.  And Reid should understand that.  He's going to play a guy that a good chunk of us dislike.  I'll cheer for the Eagles, but if it's TO going into the endzone, I'll be getting another cold one while all the TO fans jerk each other off over his TD.

Yep.  Pretty much the same boat as Reid, really.  Reid isn't pulling for T.O....he's pulling for the team, and T.O. can help the team.  I hope T.O. scores a zillion touchdowns, but even if he does...he's still a grade-A icehole.  Come to think of it, it's not all that different for me this year than last year...except I'll have less patience for the endzone dance crap.

Sort of harkens me back to a term that was widely used when this board was first developed...LurieLapper!!   ;D

That being said, I think this FO has earned the fans' trust (although they could ease up on the prices a bit).  No one knows how the TO thing will work out but I'll say that judging from what I see and hear 9 out of 10 fans would prefer to see him go if he is going to be a distraction.  I, like Reid, am willing to give him another chance to be a professional and be productive.

Now if he fargs around again and the FO does not take the situation in hand, I'll have a problem with that.  I just want the season to start and everyone to shut up about TO.  It takes a village to win a superbowl and TO ain't the mayor of this village...

I root for the jersey, but I also believe in Reid and most of the players.

Even if I hate a guy on another team and he's traded or signs here - I cheer for him. If I dislike a guy on the current roster, I still cheer for him. It's a team effort and they need contributions from everyone.

As for TO, I think he's a stone-cold nutcase. But everyone knew what kind of guy he was and 99% of the Birds fans wanted him. I've been a TO fan since he shat on the star. I knew he was a loose cannon and still wanted him here. Everyone wanted a stud WR and even some wanted some personality -- well we got it.

I'm still a fan of TO's. I thinks he's dumber than shtein, but the guy is a phenominal WR. And everyone who says they'd rather lose without him than win him is either brain dead or not a fan.

Eff principle. I want a SB win.
