if you can give extra love the players who are huge in the community and love the fans...troy vincent hollis thomas brian dawkins even jevon kearse ect...ect...then why is it so bad to hate on a player that dont give two shteins about the fans or anything else for that matter

I don't like guy at all either & know what you're saying. When he scores, I'm happy because it's points for the Eagles, not because he scored them.

Once his value to the productivity of this team diminishes, I don't care if he lives in a refrigerator box under 95 for the rest of his life.

I'll go ahead and make sure you get another copy of that memo.

When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

Yeah....I'm also gonna have to ask you work this weekend, o.k.? That would be great thanks Peter.

QuoteT.O. A 'NO-GO' IN BALTIMOREĀ

August 19, 2005
By BOB KENT

Terrell Owens will miss his second consecutive preseason game. T.O. is among 10 Eagles players that will not make the bus trip to Baltimore for Saturday's night game with the Ravens.
Though offensive coordinator Brad Childress indicated Thursday that Owens was preparing to play, Reid decided to err on the side of caution and rest Owens, who aggravated a groin injury in training camp a few weeks ago.

"He was hurt before he left and is still bothered by that groin," Reid said. "It's not near as bad as it was, but I don't want to take any chances. It would be non-productive.

"It tightened up a little bit towards the end of practice yesterday so I pulled him out of that second practice. I'm just being cautious."

As for the game, head coach Andy Reid said the first-team units on both offense and defense will play the first half. With the quarterback rotation, Donovan McNabb will play the first half followed by Mike McMahon in the third quarter and Andy Hall in the fourth quarter.

Do not read too muck into Koy Detmer getting the week off. With four quarterbacks in camp, the head coach has handled the preseason in a similar manner the last few years.

McMahon played well Monday night in Pittsburgh, leading the team on a pair of second-half scoring drives. All told, he completed 8 of 11 passes for 73 yards. He also ran once for 24 yards.

"We increase Donovan's reps so one of the quarterbacks has to sit," Reid said. "We'll let the othert two take their shot this week and bring Koy back next week."

Certainly, the Ravens' new-look 46 defense -- a scheme similar to what the Bears ran under former Eagles head coach Buddy Ryan back in 1985 -- will present a unqiue challenge for McNabb and his young receiving corps.

Reid liked what he saw from the likes of Greg Lewis, Reggie Brown and Billy McMullen on Monday. Still, there's room for improvement.

"What they need to do is continue to detail their routes, make sure the depth is right, make sure they're on the same timing with the quarterback and his drops," Reid said. "This will be great this week because they'll have a chance to play against some bump-and-run (coverage).

"They play against it in practice every day, but it will be good to play a game this week with some bump-and-run and see how they do there."

Lewis and Brown will likely start. Meanwhile, Reid did not rule out the possibility of rookie running back Ryan Moats also seeing a few reps with the first-team.

Correll Buckhalter continues to rehab. In fact, he is scheduled to see Dr. James Andrews in Alabama on Monday.

"It was the quad that was a problem," Reid explained. "He was having a hard time straightening his knee and they wanted to make sure they could strengthen the quad a little bit. He's made some progress.

"Dr. Andrews wants to take another look at it and we'll know more after that."

Meanwhile, Reid said that offensive tackle Tra Thomas -- who returned to the practice field on Thursday -- "has been cleared to play and that's a positive."

"It's a stable situation. Doctors are very optimistic about it," Reid said.

In addtion to Owens, Buckhalter and Thomas, other Eagles players not making the trip include offensive lineman Jamaal Jackson, defensive linemen Jamaal Green, Trent Cole, Sam Rayburn and Paul Grasmanis, and defensive backs Sean Considine and Matt Ware.

As soon as he puts on the Eagles uniform, he's a member of the team I cheer for.

I have to agree with PG - I'm basically  cheering  for the laundry.

Its not even his knee....THAT is good news.

Yeah, I was happy to read that too.
