Apparently the CBC broadcast of the game is pretty much just Hartnell and Lupul announcing the game through their mics. I would actually watch the NHL all star game other then flipping it on for 20 seconds at a time if I could listen to players talk the entire game instead of the announcers.

Jeff Carter has been a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets for just seven months, and he's already being shopped around by his new team. Via the Columbus Dispatch:

Multiple sources confirmed to The Dispatch that Carter has been put on the trade block by the Blue Jackets, barely seven months after he was acquired from Philadelphia and deemed the No. 1 center the club has always needed.

The talented center has barely played for CBJ during the 2011-12 season thanks to injuries. He's out with a shoulder problem right now, although he's traveling with the team on the West Coast and says he hopes to play. The rumors are building, however, that Carter is not happy in Columbus and fans are even speculating that he could be exaggerating his injury.

It all falls in line with his initial attitude surrounding the trade to Columbus from Philadelphia. It was very evident, both in written reports and Carter's own actions, that he was less than happy with the trade. He's saying the right things now, but it certainly seems like the public view and the private view are different here.

Carter is being traded to LA to be reunited with Richards. CBJ is getting a Jack Johnson and 1st round pick in exchange. Deal is contingent on Carter passing a physical tomorrow.

Had Mikey Miss on this afternoon on the way home from work.  He's saying that fighting no longer has any place in hockey and that penalties should be enough to stop players from taking liberties.

Sadly, all but one caller have agreed with him - either they're screening heavily, or very few are actually Flyers fans.
