I actually think it will be a wash PSU will probably have about 3 losses and that seems to me what the Eagle may have as well.

People looked at PSU's record last year and just said they sucked which is only half true.  Their offense sucked, their defense was pretty damn good.  If their offense can be remotely better they should be very competitive in the Big 10 this season.  A lot of this depends on whether King and Williams live up to the hype.

Either way I look for both teams to have about 3 or 4 losses.

It very possible that McNabb gets 40 this year.  If Ownes can stay healthy, hes good for 14-18.  Westbrook a good 4-7.  Buck 2-3. Pinky 3,4. LJ 5-6 G. Lewis 3.  Richie gonna get at least one his way.  A beefer line with Andrews.  To think its not possible is ridiculous.  I say he gets 42 this year.  Eat it

1. I seriously doubt TO will get as many TDs as he had last season. Or even close. 10 would still be a great season.
2. Westbrook 4-7 seems reasonable.
3. Buck? 2-3? I'll surprised by more than zero. He's not here to catch lots of balls.
4. Pinky had 1 TD last year. He should get more, 3-4 maybe, but I wouldn't bank on it.
5. LJ/TE 5-6 seems about right in this offense.
6. Our third WR hasn't produced 3 TDs in a year for a while.

With Andrews back don't you think that they might, I don't know, RUN the ball more?

Is 40 TDs possible? Sure. Is it likely or even reasonable to expect? No.

Greg Lewis is the fastest receiver on our team.  I just have a feeling hes going to catch acouple long td bombs this year.

Running the ball more with Andrews?  In our dreams!

It is ridiculous to think, I agree, that we may actually run more since AR is still the coach. But I look at this team, and the return of Ritchie and Andrews, and I think about the three-headed monster year, and this offense just reminds me a lot of that. Those three RBs combined for over 2000 yards and tons of scores and this squad could do the same thing... anyway, it's more likely that they'll run more than it is for McNabb to throw 40 TDs.

After reading this thread in its entirety, I've come to this conclusion:

The season cannot not get here fast enough for me.

As the spokesman for Shawn "Big Nasty" Andrews, I will say that his mere presence will open up holes large enough for Westbrook to run through, run back and then run through again before a DL even gets to touch him with his fingers.

I do think McNabb could throw 40 TD's in a season. Reid certainly calls enough passing plays for him to do it.

Rome

If he's only going to play 14 meaningful games like he has the last couple of seasons, there's no way in hell he throws 40 touchdowns.

I'll give rjs that much.

As the spokesman for AR, I will say that big Shawn may open up all the holes he likes, but that doesn't mean my client is even going to consider running the ball more.

Better tell your client that he was once an OL and he knows what it means to be able to fire off the ball and smash some 230LB jerk trying to play DE. Keep putting my client back in pass protection and maybe he'll forget to pick up a blitzer or two here and there. :-*

I expect a lot of witty trick plays, like 2nd down punts, "Statue of Liberty" plays, and the "Villanova swirler".

Don't forget the old stick the ball up the center's shirt and act like he got hit in the gut play.  Hank in for 6, baby.

I've just spoken with AR recently, and he has requested that I relay the following vital information:

"We think we've got a good group of guys here, and we're going to just work really hard.  Even without TO, when you have players like Todd and Billy, and Reno coming out of the backfield, you just have to utilize your strengths.  If Shawn has that opinion, and refuses to pass block correctly, we've got a lot of capable players who can step right in and win multiple super bowls, maybe even 100 in a row, without Shawn.  We'd like to have him sure, but we're just going to stay the course and see what happens."

That cannot possibly be an AR quote.  "Heckofa" was not used once.
