Not quite as much...but very, very close...unless we lose three to the Pads...then we suck cow ass, which is worse than the Phillies.

Izturis, Tommy John surgery...will be out until next July.  :-\

At least we have Robles who has proved to be a decent enough infielder and can put the stick to the ball.

Bradley had surgery yesterday in Cincinnati. DePodesta was talking about that they need to have a few 'meetings' to see what's going to happen to Bradley as a Dodger. I hope he stays.

Man, there seem to be a boatload of TJ surgeries anymore.

Am I the only one that thinks it sounds cool when someone uses that word like that.

Anyways, I know we're 6 out...with little to a few games left. But here's the scenario.

Bonds is coming back. Yes, farg Bonds...but wait....they(Giants) have 7 left against the Giants, we(Dodgers) have 3 left. Padres still have to face a feisty Nationals team 3 more times, Arizona 3 times and a cockblocking Rockies team 4 times as well.

It's not out of the question to think we can still challenge for the division. It's going to take timely hitting and flawless pitching from our staff who are very capable....we just have to put the bats together. JD Drew was supposed to be coming back in early September. We could sure use him. I wonder what's that status on him. Regardless, here we go. This is going to be an interesting next three weeks. If we can get on a streak, we have a great chance!

Go Dodgers! :yay

You chug pole, pole-chugger.

You're relying on San Diego to lose to a fading Washington and 2 awful clubs in Arizona and Colorado?

Although the Nationals are fading, they are still a better than mediocre(*Mediocre meaning, San Diego, Colorado, Los Angeles, San Francisco), if not at the same level. They should be good to take at least one, hopefully two from the Padres.

Arizona and Colorado still are technically 'in the hunt'...plus, these teams don't mind blocking each other from winning the division...so I'm sure they'll all be playing with extra incentive. Padres aren't unbeatable.

Of course they aren't.  The Phils have won 10 straight against them...  ;D

Remember, when it comes to teams within a division...there always seems to be some mysterious dynamic that comes into play that makes a sucky team, not as sucky.

Solid outing from Weaver! :yay Thank god we didn't see a 7th inning breakdown.

Go...Giants!? :paranoid I have to wash my mouth out with soap now. But, if they could sweep the Padres, that would be really nice of them.  ;D

Go Dodgers!

You do realize you're the only one praying right?  You're not fooling us with this "we" talk.

The Dodgers arent making the playoffs.

They blow.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You forget about my short stint withc scytzophrenia(sp?). WE, continue to pray.  :evil

By the way, go Weaver...outings like that gives us hope. Go Giants too. Keep on playing them well....just two more wins against them....we have just as good a chance tonight. It's beginning to be a wild, wild west.

Go Dodgers! :yay

Technically, you're confusing MPD (multiple personality disorders) with true schizophrenia, which is a brain disease which is complicated, but is definitely not MPD.

This link describe schizophrenia much more ably than I ever could after my little psychology minor.

Sorry to be nit-picky.  ;D

'Preciate the link Geo. This will help us out.  :yay
