The Raiders and LaMont Jordan are in serious negotiations and could complete a deal by the end of the day.
The fears about Oakland's salary cap situation were unfounded. If Jordan ends up in Oakland, we'd project him as a top 15 running back with plenty of room to run considering their wide receiver group.

I wonder if they'll announce Jordan at the Moss PC. Big offseason for the Raiders.

Pathon released by Saints

The Saints cleared $3.333 million of cap room by releasing wide receiver Jerome Pathon, who was entering the final year of his contract. Pathon became the third receiver last year when Donte' Stallworth finally stepped up and became the dependable starter the team had expected. Pathon caught 34 passes for 581 yards, but only one touchdown.

ESPNews reports the Cleveland Browns have signed free agent G Joe Andruzzi (Patriots) to a four-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed

That is a very nice signing for the Browns.  I wonder if Crennel will try to bring in Brown or Law as well?

Yup, I've heard that about Law since even before he was let go.

Either case would certainly make sense, though for the Birds sake I hope he goes to the Browns.  Newman and Law would make a formidable duo.

Newman sucks.

Yeah and so does Roy Williams ::), Newman wasn't as good this season as he was in his first, but I have a feeling he will be back.

Yeah it's a 4-year deal. According to the Bengals site, it's about $3 mill/year, heavily front-loaded in the first year.
