I'll play GTA all the time, ive always gotten immersed in all of them.  R6V2 looks sick, i liked the first one, and if they made the improvements that theyve released, ill be really happy to play it, then when infinity ward offers the maps for free in 6 months i'll take a look again.

COD2 and COD3 extra maps are still not free. never will be, so don't look forward to free maps for COD4 either. I like GTA also, it just gets old after awhile, but it is still fun to pick up after a few months and get back into it. i haven't touched rainbox 6 in months since halo 3 and COD4 came out. i think im going to trade in halo 3 and rainbow 6 vegas for GTA

I expect Rainbow Six Vegas 2 to blow away all the other games just like CoD4 did
Rainbow Vegas was tons of fun online, and for someone who doesn't normally play the single player, I enjoyed it and played it whenever Comcast decided they didn't want me to have internet service

Vegas 2 is supposed to have a whole lot of improvements over 1, and it sounds like they jacked all the guns from CoD4, so I don't see this being a bad game
I'm trading CoD4 in and picking up Vegas 2 as early as I possibly can

So i picked up Vegas 2.  Not impressed with online play.  Seriously, its just slow and not good graphically at this point.  I think they rushed it to the shelves because it needs a lot of work.  Obviously im still a huge fan of the duck and cover system but even that needs tweaking online.  Graphics online have taken a step backwards and really do not pop other than maps from the last R6Vegas so that really tells me they effed up.

Spawn camping is back, COD did a good job changing that up, and its mostly the same spawn every time on Vegas.  Dwill could probably throw a few in here.  I think it has a ton of potential, but im pissed i spent money on this and basically have to wait another month or 2 just for them to improve it.

I think being a "fanboy", my opinion is skewed, but here's my review [I have NOT played the single player, but heard good things]:

much slower than CoD4, but I view that as a good thing, as thats how the game is meant to be played...
the spawn camping seems to be a little of both ways, don't like it cause you can do it, but then again, you have 5 seconds of untouchable time, where you can't be shot and easily dispatch anyone in your spawn...

I got ridiculed for saying this, but the graphics look like Halo-styled real life? idk, they're weird to say the least... theres some really dark levels too, just change the game brightness...

Customizable characters is totally sweet, higher level = more clothes/camo color
Level up system seems pretty fun, certain points for certain kills that'll unlock different guns; my only problem is it seems the Riot Shield is going to be impossible to get... that was my favorite part of Vegas 1

Classic Rainbow setup, the Ranked Match is worthless, as you can only stay in 1 room for one game, so Player Match is where its at, you just need friends

overall, I give it an 8/10
its definitely got a learning curve, which if you master the controls, realize you're not playing CoD4 anymore, you should start to really enjoy it more

NO GAME COMPARES TO COD4!

For real though, the two are totally diff. 1st person shooters. VEGAS is a tactical shooter, where your more or less have to solve an assault puzzel and have to focus on stealth more. i never got into the multi player in the 1st one, i couldn't hang at all. The whole sprint, duck and cover aspect added to the new game was def. needed.

COD4 is more of an arcade style 1st person, def. not as challenging as VEGAS games, but challenging in a diff. more fast paced way. Online play is almost perfect and fast paced. If they had custom match set-ups that weren't private matches, then it would be perfect. I tried playing th other night and just got sick of it though myself. ive been playing the hell out of it since it came out in november. the new maps though look great, so it'll help keep my interest up prob for another month or two.

reading more about GTA lately and it sounds awesome. i'm prob going to buy it
