I CAN NOT wait for that one to drop.  I might have to take some vacation from work once I pick it up.

Maybe I should rent it. What other game can you compare it to as far as gameplay goes?

I never played GOW, but from watching people play it and seeing previews it looks very much like Devil May Cry and Prince of Persia series. Very fun. I'm prob going to pick up GOW1 this weekend. Prob find it used for like 10 bucks or new for 19.

maybe prince of persia.  actually GOW has some of the best gameplay ive ever seen.  very easy to execute all kinds of insane moves.  i cant think of anything as good as it off the top of my head.  def worth a rent.  Hell it is a "greatest hit" now and can be had for $20 at any store.

Like mussa said, it's a little like Devil May Cry and a little like Prince of Persia... but better than both of them.  Seriously... if you have a PS2... you're doing yourself a disservice by not having played it.

If you rent it, you'll kick yourself for not buying it... because you'll have to give it back.  For $19.99 (what it costs now) it's an absolute steal.

Got Splinter Cell Double Agent for the 360 yesterday. So far it is excellent as are all SC games.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Got Splinter Cell Double Agent for the 260 yesterday. So far it is excellent as are all SC games.

Is that like the 360 only cheaper? Thanks for the review, I'm thinking of picking it up myself. Is the gameplay and all that jazz the same? From the commercial it looks different.

It is hard to explain without spoiling the story. But, yeah, it is a little different than the usual SC games. You still have to be stealthy often, but I'll just say you aren't with your normal gear for at least some of the game because of certain things that happen in the story(I'm not far enough to tell you how long you are without it).

But I love it so far. It does have a little different feel, but it still sticks to the things SC does great. Hopefully it stays this good because I'm loving it so far.

As long as Fisher is still a badass.

Did you play Dead Rising? I've heard nothing but great reviews from that game.

The BIGSTUD

Nah, but I was thinking about getting that and Saints Row. I've been putting some money away for the PS3 so I can get one sometime next year maybe around March. Plus there are 2 or 3 games coming out by november's end that I will be getting. Final Fantasy XII, Gears of War and maybe Call of Duty 3.

I just picked up a copy of Galactic Civilizations II Dread Lords. If there are any uber geeks out there that care I'll post a review.

I love Sid Meier's Civiliazation games, been playing them since the first one.  Is that from the same company?

Go ahead and post a review.

Dio, there's a new game by the current Civilization publisber called Civ City Rome.  I don't know a lot about it other than it's another city-building simulation, probably on the lines of the Caesar games (I believe that Caesar IV is out now as well).

I love the simulation games much more than the shoot-em-ups.  Of course, absolutely sucking at the shooter games doesn't help that, either.
