Anyone seen a good movie lately?

I find some cult classics enjoyable - like some of sandler's movies, office space etc ...so I gave Lebowski a shot but found it boring.

Anchorman was ok. But not anything I'd recite lines to.

King's speech was very good

they dont age well at all....i used to love happy gilmore and cant watch it these days but sandler has a couple funny movies...however i dont think any are cult classics....they are straight up poular comedies

your sisters sisters is on showtime tonight....ive seen it three or four times but its so good...one of my two or three favorites from last year...and i could watch emily blunt every night...so hot

goon is a well received canadian movie with stifler. some really dug it.

eskins speech was made to win an oscar. it did. its predictably good but nothing more than that. id go goon since theres no way youll like lebowski and youll bitch about it.

at least lebowski was the cohen brothers...it cant be horrible like anchorman

i ended up watching the independant spirit awards...kinda sucked in that all the winners were basically big time stars in popular movies....you could tell the entire place wanted beasts to win everything....

i dont know who he is but the cat that hosted it had some really funny stuff

i looked up the recipe online and im gonna make crabby snacks for the oscars tonight

I never understood all the love for Anchorman.  I thought it was funny and had it's fair share of quotable sayings or catch phrases, but I definitely didn't think that it was anything special or worthy of any sort of cult following.  It was the last Will Ferrell movie that I actually liked.  Everything he's done since then has pretty much sucked.

Anchorman has a comedy cult following. I thought it had some funny moments and because it took place in SD it appealed to me. I can see why people wouldn't like it especially the igys of the world.

while not a big comedy fan im all for a good one...i love lots of older ones and i like a lot of the apatow stuff...altho hes been in a slump lately....but i just didnt find a single thing funny in anchorman...its beyond stupid slapstick stuff that missed everytime imo

i seriously would love to sit down with someone who loves the movie and see what parts they think are hilarious...just so i know

i remember laughing straight through anchorman when i saw in theater. still gets me when it pops up on tv. it never took itself seriously for a second but the actors werent really in on the joke (few exceptions and those werent good). same way airplane went at it.
