your sisters sister - great new indy film with the dood from the league emily blunt and rosemarie dewitt...id say its a superbly written three person character study but at times its hard to tell how much was written as many scenes are clearly improved...because of this you actually feel like the actors are not actors but really just regular people who do know each other...at times it gives off almost a documentary feel...the cat from the league is actually a really good actor...btw hes involved in like 8 different movies this year whether as the writer director or actor...story is set off by him banging emily blunts (who is his best friend) lesbian sister...wont give away the rest because i know everyone here is going to run out and see it this weekend....enjoy

8/10

I saw The American last night.  First movie I've ever walked out on.  Left about an hour into it and I have no desire to ever seen the end.   Hopefully Clooney dies screaming, though, because he deserves it.

This.

couldn't say anything more than you guys did other than I was watching it when Hurricane Irene hit.  We lost power for 3 days, and waited 3 weeks to finally finish the last half hour off.  The English sniper, and obviously the italian whoahwww were the only reason it was worth watching.

He died really quietly. Sorry.

fast five - a two hour and 15 minute hack off between vin diesel and the rock to see who could for those moments be the worst actor on earth...one of worst written movies in memory but what made it truly special is how over the top and hammish these two were in delivering the lines...the action scenes while very well filmed were just flat out way to unrealistic...esepcially the final scene with the safe...again just ridiculously over the top...

im guessing the director purposely made the movie like this because if he was for even one moment not trying to make a really bad movie then he should be shot...but because i think it was intentional i will say this was one of the so bad its good movies ive seen in a while in the tradition of a classic like roadhouse

"It's so bad it's good" movies have to get a passing rating.

some could but not this one imo...im not 100% sold on the fact that it wasnt meant to be a good movie....and its also not on the level of a true classic so bad its good movie like a roadhouse....im giving it a four but i was a pubic hair away from slapping a zero on it so it should be grateful

did you see it?

Zanshin

Seriously. It sounds like the movie delivered exactly what it advertised.

Straw Dogs - was pleasantly suprised by this movie.  it won't watch it again but it was intense and some of the scenes were rather disturbing.  the last 40 minutes or so were tense and had good action until the final scene which ruined it.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I've seen the "safe scene" in Fast Five. There's unbelievable and then there's too unbelievable. This one def fell under the latter.

I saw it a few weeks ago.  Definitely seemed to be intentionally over the top.  Not quite Roadhouse style, but I thought there were no pretenses of this being semi-realistic or serious.  Actually found it to be somewhat enjoyable which surprised me.

all i know is vin was serious when he said there was award buzz about the movie

so im guessing they were trying to do make some good, which is usually how you get "its so bad its good"
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
