Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Imagine a movie that doesn't explain everything to you, your left in this world of confusion, of anxiety your mind is slowly losing interest because you mind can't handle not knowing what is going on. It's emotionally taking you on a ride and because you can't put the pieces together you quit. You call it dumb because you don't have the patience or imagination to patiently sit through it because, your afraid of the unknown. Call it dumb, call it overrated, whatever. Art is about what you personally experience with it. I think Inception was a movie that intentionally wanted the viewer to be uneasy, and confused, it did a great job of that I felt that way, but I embraced it and went with it. I left the theater with a very strange feeling. Not many movies, if at all any, left me feeling that way after watching Inception.

its worth watching and not something you need to boycott like i do with star wars and avatar

youre a nerd scifi dude so you would probably actually love it

I like sci fi but aside from Star Wars there isn't anything I nerd it up with. I hated Avatar and don't blame you for not watching it. I'll watch Inception eventually but I just don't see the rush

MDS

oh there is no rush, i just got it off netflix

i just like seeing everything before the oscars...next up the igy recommended winters bone. i have high hopes.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I think they call that feeling stoned.

Rome

Inception was a fantastic movie.  It doesn't mean anything to me that certain people here didn't like it.

not to kill anyone here but im guessing 90% of the reason people loved it was because for whatever reason the reviews were off the charts

if this got middling reviews or mixed reviews it wouldnt have made 600 million or whatever and people wouldnt have come back saying their minds were blown.

it has nothing to do with reviews....it was made for nerds and nerd movies that arent well reviewed do great box office much less one made by the guy that kick started the batman series...nolan is a hero to the nerd set and nothing was going to stop inception from caking off big time at the box office
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

it wouldnt have made all the cash it did without the reviews

i wouldnt have seen it without the reviews and neither would have you...im not seeing some geek sci fi about dreams unless its getting oscar buzz

the nerd set obviously helped, i mean look at rome, but it went beyond that in terms of its trailer appeal

thats true but our 20 bucks isnt what made it a smash...it was the nerds who went in droves and saw it three four times each

anyway i thought you just saw it for the first time the other day?

MDS

oh without a doubt, that helped

but everyone was seeing that movie...it was kind of like batman and avatar where it just became something people eventually went to see just because

i just hope it made sense the 5th time around because it certainly didnt on first watch

rjs246

How weird that this turned into another IGY/MDS handjob festival.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I really had no clue what the movie was about before seeing it, I saw the trailer on tv and thought, wow special effects look really awesome, I had no idea Nolan was the director until the credits rolled. I hadn't read a review I just went spontaneously one night. Anyway it came in mail today so I'll be watching it again tonight.
