2012:  I usually have a high tolerance for suspending my disbelief with these type of movies.  but 5 minutes of John Cusack's evasive maneuvers with a limousine and then RV to avoid various devastating earthquakes and volcanos was enough for me to say "What the farg?"

awfulness.

If that wasn't rediculous enough...they made it seem  like Yellowstone National Park was a quick 15 minute drive to Los Angeles. Hell, the city over ain't even a 15 minute drive. Ain't even.

ha, i thought exactly that.  i thought i knew approximately where Yellowstone was and then when they were going back and forth like a trip to wawa i thought I was wrong and it was in Cali somewhere.

i saw it mentioned a bunch of times here, specifically by a portly govt worker, so i netflixed maria full of grace.

and that...is sensational film making. wow. might have just vaulted into my all time top 10. 5/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Finally got to watch Inglorious bastiches. Loved it. I love the way QT makes different plots in a movie come together for a great ending. I also loved Brad Pitt's character. I have a new great movie line to be repeated over and over.

Went and saw Kick Ass last night. I have many thoughts but I'll keep it brief. It's one farged up, but thoroughly entertaining, movie.

Just received this in the mail this morning. Trinity and Beyond is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Amazing footage.

Link It's a great price @ $26.86. I've seen Trinity and Beyond by itself on ebay for over thirty bucks.

Rome

I have Trinity & Beyond on DVD.  And you're right, great doc.

Along with the great footage, it's almost a history of the cold war. Scary stuff, considering that the biggest bomb the U.S. ever detonated, Castle Bravo way back in 1954 was so powerful that it exceeded the scientist expectations by 2 1/2 times. It was 15 megatons and 66 miles wide. Marshall Island near Bikini had half of their population killed on the side of the Island exposed to the blast. American scientist were detonating bombs so big they didn't know how big they were going to be until they let them off. The fallout pushed the issue of radiactive waste and what it did to the atomosphere into the public eye.

Watched Legion last night, surprisingly not horrible
