I watched Barbarella last night.
Pretty silly, but the beginning scene with Fonda is worth wathcing, as well as the nutty set design. They spent mucho bucks on sets.
On a semi-realted note, I cannot think of one hollywood director/producer whose career I would have rather had than Dino De Laurentiis. That dude is a visionary.

Qunatum of Solace is one of the few actual Fleming titles that hasn't been used for a movie already.  They're trying to re-establish the connection to the literary Bond that was lost in the gadgetry.

Halloween 2.5/5 - since Rob Zombie is the worst film maker today I figured this would be craptacular. The acting was horrific but he did a nice job with the back story. I was somewhat surprised this film was watchable. It doesn't compare to the original but it was worth the watch.

Seeing that it was a remake, any review starts and stops there. Zombies halloween was crap and cliche ridden.

Saw Casino Royale last night and your post makes a lot more sense now.  Definitely a different Bond than we're used to seeing in the movies.  No fancy gadgets or anything.  Just a dude with tux and a gun.

Good movie that started out with good action then kind of dulled out in the middle and finished with more action.  I enjoy the "gadget" Bond more though.  It also kind of pissed me off when he was in the Bahamas and was driving a farging Ford.  :puke

Overall 3/5.

i thought the last bond wasn't that good. a sweet chase scene in the beginning and then a long poker game the rest of the way. no thanks.

it pretty much was like every other action movie thats come out in the last 10 years...if it didnt have the name bond attached to it it would have just been another movie...a decent action flick but nothing special

This was a major success for the Bond franchise. They went from unwatchable to a passable action flick. Add the Bond "mystique" and you have nerd heaven!

Though him getting hit in the balls like that was uncalled for and made me squirm...

im not a bond fan at all...but i agree it was good for bond and the previous bond flicks didnt exactly set the bar high for the new one which was another reason it got overrated but i still think it was a good solid action flick much like the bournes were

i saw moonraker but other than that im with you....ive always found the bonds pretty much unwatchable...mostly cause they are so dated...im sure they were awesome when they first came out but time has not been on their side

I loved the Bonds as a kid but they really have not aged well. It was a big deal to see a jet ski for the first time as they are cutting edge. Now I watch and wonder why he's on a cheap ass jet ski...

"Breach" was a good film, but I can't help wanted to choke out Ryan Phillippe.

yeah, he's awful...i wondered how he got that role with 20 other young qualified actors that could've done it

i kind of change my mind of Philippe after this clip from Way of the Gun
