Watched Gary Oldman's directorial debut, Nil By Mouth, last night about poor, abusive, drug addicts in South London. Excellent. 4/5.

Almost everything he does is underrated.

BTW, the "Knocked Up" reviews sound a lot like "40-Year-Old Virgin"... which means I'll be wildly disappointed in this one also.

Saw "Surf's Up" yesterday. Not bad. Jeff Bridges did the voice work as the Big Kahuna type. It's weird how many similarities these movies have with one another. They're all basically the same movie only in this instance the plot revolved around surfing penguins.

I didn't like "40 Year-Old Virgin" as much as I thought I would. These movies come out with such hysterical hype surrounding them that it's all but impossible for them to meet your expectations. That one didn't. It wasn't bad by any means but I was expecting a laugh riot and was fairly disappointed overall.

stringer bell from the wire is in it as well

the soundtrack has the potential to be amazing...bobby bland in the trailer sends chills down my spine

I am genuinely surprised that you liked the 40 Year Old Virgin more. I laughed from beginning to end at Knocked Up and maybe 4 or five times total at the 40 Year Old Virgin. And on top of that the funniest parts of 40 YOV were DEFINITELY in the trailers, not so for Knocked Up. Jerk.
