In June 2006, Ain't It Cool News website reported that New Line Cinema along with producers Neil Moritz and Roy Lee intend to produce an "Americanized" adaptation of the book. The remake rights have been bought, with release tentatively set for 2008. In a July New York Times article, Lee assured Battle Royale fans of his respect for the original work, and stated that despite earlier concern the characters would still be young teenagers and that he would draw additional plot elements from the novel.
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

booo!  no need to remake it when there's no way it'll be better than the original.

Of course there's no reason to remake it. shtein it isn't even that old of a movie. Hollywood doesn't care. Hollywood just wants money and murderous teens.

Pans Labyrinth - 3.5/5 - entertaining, good story but somewhat predictable. Not as dorky as I thought it was gonna be.

Stranger than Fiction - I've never really heard any good reviews about this but I actually really liked it.  Good role for Will Ferrell.

The Ex - Basically I only watched it because I always love Jason bateman, but this movie is poop on a crapstick.  Laughed out loud maybe twice, a few giggles, but overall very mediocre.  Scratch that, overall pretty bad.  And Amanda Peet doesn't even show any tittay.

ice grillin you

i officially cancelled netflix yesterday since i have the baseball package and the fightins take precedence over movies...plus after a year hiatus i plan on getting the nba and nhl packages come fall

anyway the reason i bring it up is as i was cancelling they tried to keep me on by offering their 4.99 a month package...it allows you a maximum two movies a month...and the real laugher is where it says "no more than one movie out at a time"

do people really get this package?...it seems ridiculous

i think for now on on the rare occasions that i do get a movie it will be thru the red box
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous
