i might see 26 weeks later at lunch tomorrow. 


i watched casino royale today.  pretty good movie.  when i was done i realized that i think that was the first time i've ever sat down with the intention of watching an entire bond movie from beginning to end.  ever.  i've seen half here and half there, and bits and pieces of probably all of them, but never watched an entire one.  that i can remember at least.  but i liked it.

Ichi The Killer. Awful. Took Japanese gore to an uncomfortable extreme. Had an incomprehensible plot. Bad acting. Bad action scenes. Really disappointing.

damn, thats actually in the next 5-6 movies on my list.  was kinda looking forward to seeing it.  Miike can get a little crazy with the gore though.

Yeah and I usually really like those ridiculous action/gore/suspense flicks from those crazy japs.

A MUCH better option with a lot of the same themes is Old Boy. See that instead.

Also, what is it with the japanese and cutting off their own tongues? Cut it out, freaks.

I watched Snakes on a Plane on saturday...it was a decent stupid action flick. My only complaint was there weren't nearly enough boob shots...and Samuel L Jackson didnt say the F word nearly enough times.

the japanese government picks one high school a year, and they put all of the students on an island, and each one gets a different weapon, from machine guns to rakes, and they have to fight to be the one that makes it off.  it's pretty awesome.  and yes they all wear catholic school uniforms.

i haven't seen it in about a year, i need to watch it again soon.
