Take some Lord of the Rings, throw in some Superman, add a little Revenge of the Sith for taste....and you have a crappy Spiderman 3

"The Queen"

The oddest part about the movie was how quiet the dialogue was compared to the soundtrack. I had to turn the volume up and down the whole time. That said, if the movie's historically accurate, it's a very interesting snapshot into the royal family during the aftermath of the Princess Diana tragedy. It was very well done and well-acted.

ugh i don't see how anyone liked that movie. i watched it on a plane and it put me to sleep. yeah the acting was good but that couldn't help the fact that it was farging boring.

im not saying helen mirren hacked it up in the movie but to me it was a great impersonation of the queen not so much a great acting job

as for the historical accuracy no one has any idea how true it is...because A the writers and director were large guessing on how she felt as the queen is one of the most guarded people in the world...so it really could be 95% made up...or the little inside info they had plus getting all their guesses correct it could be 95% accurate....my belief is that its closer to the former

Spiderman 3:

***possible spoilers***

It had some good parts, and some really bad parts. The fighting scenes and action were really good, but a lot of the other stuff was really boring and unnecessary. The black-suited PP in the jazz club was really lame and there was too much revolved around Mary Jane in general. Franco was really good as Harry Osborne.

Basically, you'd hope the soft gay shtein would be trumped by the action and cool shtein. In this one, I don't think you can say that.

not for an actor...don rickles can impersonate someone...but he cant act for shtein

just cause she looked and dressed like the queen doesnt mean she gave the acting performance of a lifetime

This was the first thing that came to my mind. What Jamie Foxx did in Ray was certainly impressive, but I thought Daniel Day Lewis got jobbed for best actor. To me mimicing someone is less of an acting job than becoming a fictional character like Lewis did.
