it has one of the coolest vibes of any movie ive seen
i love the soundtrack that goes with it
i thought forrest was brilliantly understated
i loved the ending
i thought it was cool how they took an acient idea and brought it to the modern day world

i know little to nothing about the samuri "concept"...perhaps not knowing helped me in liking the movie

Forrest was the only actor that was even passable, I'll give you that.  That said, he could have dropped a few pounds to play a guy who devotes his body to intese training and dedication to his retainer.

If you liked the juxtaposition of time/culture, you should check out other stuff by that director-- I understand that's generally his MO.

Reviewing a movie, and mentioning that there is this big shock ending kind of ruins the big shock ending because you're going to be looking for it the entire way though.

if youve seen even five seconds of the trailer you know the entire movie is leading up to a suprise ending

We all know you're not one to care about spoiling a movie for someone else.

I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the movie business.  The entertainment media has been very desirous that a black movie do well.  There is a little hope invested in "Dreamgirls", and it got a lot of credit for the performance of this movie studio that it didn't deserve.  The white movies carried this studio.

Not true.  FF has some good qualities.

Question:  Has anyone here seen the movie "Night At The Museum?"

The reason I ask is, I had never even heard of it until recently yet amazingly enough it was the second highest grossing movie of 2006 taking in almost $250M in the U.S. and another $318M in foreign box office.

How did I miss that, and even more importantly, why would so many people go and see Ben Stiller in a movie?  This society really does deserve annihilation.
