Anyone seen a good movie lately?

I HATE to agree with Munson, but American Beauty is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Captures the nightmare of suburban life fantastically.

american beauty is a great great movie but its not even a top 20 all time picture...rjs can you honestly say that youd watch american beauty again...and i dont mean if it was on usa one friday nite while you were home...i mean would you rent it and watch it strasight thru just because its a such a great movie

i have it on dvd and ive never watched it even tho i like it a lot...its like a lot of other movies in that its a great movie but its replay value is not very high

As a man who's getting closer and closer to middle age, American Beauty is depressing so I don't get the urge to watch it for a 'good time' very often. So I agree, it's replay value isn't really high. But I would buy it in a heartbeat and I guarantee that I would watch it. I watch it every time it's on TV and not wanting to watch it over and over again doesn't make it somehow worse. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen whether I ever watch it again or not.

i guess id never rank it anywhere close to my favorite movies of all time simply because i dont have a huge desire to ever see it again...to me replay value is a huge factor in how good a movie is

i suppose what it comes down to is the difference between the best movies and your favorite movies
