OMG!  Remember in the beginning of the movie when Fletch walks up on the porch and his foot goes right through the wood.  hahahahahaha! OMG that was soooooooooo funny!

Watched Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny. F'n funny, but, not for everybody. Definitely a must for us 80's era metalheads.  :-D

And any movie that has my man Dio, and an A Clockwork Orange reference, automatically gets an extra "point" from me.  :yay

4/5
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

Heat- Typical Michael MannĀ  :cfhead :cfhead
Momento- Instant top 10 listĀ  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
An Inconvenient Truth- Al, AL GORE, was interesting. A tad overblown to make the point, but still, it's most certainly a problem and should be handled by the fargtards in politics. :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

"Memento" is an excellent film.  Agreed.  Guy Pearce is a very underrated actor.

Watched "Stranger Than Fiction".  I was surprised that the movie wasn't more funny but actually made me think a bit.  It was quite well-acted, especially by Emma Thompson and Will Ferrell.  Thompson probably could have easily received a nom for supporting actress if she hadn't set the bar so high over the course of her career.

Anyway, nice little movie.  Pretty much everyone could find a reason to like it except for IGY.  3.5/5.

Also have "The Prestige" and "Pick of Destiny" at home to watch.

Finally watched Manhattan Murder Mystery.  I've always stayed away from it because I generally despise Woody Allen and everything he is involved with, but I heard this was his best so we got it.  And yes, it's definitely his best.  I think maybe because it actually has a story and it's not just random zesty dialogue like most stuff he does.  Also, with Diane Keaton being possibly my most hated actress ever, it actually made me like Allen's character a little more.  Definitely my favorite Woody Allen movie, but that's not saying a whole lot.  3/5

Oh, and there's like 2 minutes in the middle when they take their son out for his 21st birthday, and it's Zach Braff.  I spotted him right away, but I had no idea he was around in 1993.

The Descent, other than a unrealistic plot and bad acting, i thought the movie was a great idea, as far as fear, scare factor. Combining natural fear from caving and freaky bat like creatures, they made a pretty scary movie. torwards the end it got pretty cheesy when the chicks started kickin butt, i'd much rather see them keep it in the direction of them being the weak ones. Oh well, i jumped quite a few times, great for that horrible by any other standards.  2.5/5

A horror movie with an unrealistic plot and bad acting?  Noooooooooo.

"The Prestige"

This is a very interesting movie with some fantastic acting.  Scarlett Johansson's talent is practically completely wasted, but Jackman, Bale, and Caine are all quite good.  The story takes some downright interesting twists and turns, and until the very end, you really aren't sure of the true protagonist.  I think it was easily one of the top 3 movies of 2006 and certainly better than "The Illusionist", which was decent in its own right.

Solid 4+/5.

Sad with a great performance by anthony quinn. A little heavy-handed, but that's the era. Also, written by rod sterling strangely enough.
3.5/5
