Anyone seen a good movie lately?

i saw The Illusionist and Babel over the weekend.

The Illusionist was pretty good.  Cool story, even though I predicted the outcome half way through.  Jessica Biel is hot and both Norton and Giamatti did really good jobs.  Liked it a lot, one of the better movies I've watched in a while.

Babel was meh.  I agree with most people here that you keep waiting for everything to come together and then nothing ever happens in 2 1/2 hours.  I get the whole theme of it, how communication is crucial to life, and how each little story has people somewhere out of their element, which is all well and good if they somehow linked the storylines.  Anyway, I think it's a great idea for a movie, they just didn't do a very good job executing it.  Definitely not one of the five best of the year.  Although deaf-mute-Japanese school girl crotch shots are always welcome in any movie.

Both movies had really awesome scenery though and were good choices to test my new tv.

Apocalypto - 9/10   I thoroughly enjoyed this one from start to finish.   Too bad Gibson has to be such a douche.

Finally saw Little Miss Sunshine and the majority of you guys were right. It was farging phenomenal.

I tried not to buy into the hype too much and figured it was alot of hoo-ha because it would end up being one of those boring, look-how-nice-things-turn-out-in-the-end movies... Boy, was I wrong.

Definitely one of the best, and funniest, movies I've seen in a while.

I dare you not to laugh towards the end when the kid does her dance routine.

Good stuff all the way around. Go see it if you haven't already.

BlueHeart's opinion aside, Little Miss Sunshine was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Fantastic acting from everyone in the cast. It deserves every ounce of praise it has received.

Borat - 3 out of 5.  Funny but not the most awesome movie ever like some reviewers made it out to be

Talladega Nights - 3 out of 5.  Probably the first decent movie from Ferrell since Elf.
