Guaranteed wash.  It's basically guaranteed to make more than $75m and less than $190m.

The wife and I were watching Lethal Weapon last night just to have something goofy in the background.  I was laughing my ass off, because I checked and Mel Gibson was only 30 when he filmed the movie...five years younger than I am now.  For some reason, I had a hard time wrapping my head around that.

Now I feel old.  Thanks, Z.  Thanks a lot.

lol...when I saw it in theaters, I remember thinking of his character as a grizzled, older guy on the verge of suicide.  Turns out he was just a confused kid ;).

I thought the movie looked the part and had some excellent acting, but the characters weren't developed enough and the storyline wasn't interesting enough - pretty much standard Robert Altman.  5/10.

BTW, it did win one Oscar - for best original screenplay.  It was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (twice - for Maggie Smith and Helen Mirren), Art Direction, and Costume Design.

That said - it was much better than "A Prairie Home Companion".  2/10.

The Gosford Park storyline was way too boring to hold my attention. I've never finished it.
