Saw Jet Li's Fearless last night. Visually beautiful (as was the story) and the fight scenes were just ridiculous.

And, thank you, God, for the English voice-over option being included.

Watched something else, too, but, it must not have been very good since I don't remember what it was. *shrug*

As for the 300 movie, I look forward to seeing it. I love those big, epic, bloody battle movies.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

"Hard Candy"...

Well-made film.  Some good acting.  I refuse to give it a rating for disturbing reasons.

Just saw this.  IMDB said 7.0/10, but I would go about a 5.5/10.

Disturb factor was high -- for the entire film, not just the obviously disturbing 15 minutes in the middle.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Rocky 1, 2, and 3 is on TNTHD this morning. I always get teary eyed in this scene:

Ah come on, Adrian, it's true. I was nobody. But that don't matter either, you know? 'Cause I was thinkin', it really don't matter if I lose this fight. It really don't matter if this guy opens my head, either. 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.

Wow, all this weird crazy shtein is happening! It's so interesting! Just kidding, a fourth grader wrote it and it was all just a dream. Awful.

I didn't need to think about that again.

When Jason Lee is pretty much the best part of the movie, it's a bad movie.

Well, I hope we can agree on this. I just rewatched The Truman Show. Now that, is a terrific movie.

I enjoyed "The Truman Show", but I always felt a little guilty about it...

I don't think it's very well acted at all.  Ed Harris mails it in.  Laura Linney is meh.  Carrey is actually perfect for his role.  Then again, I didn't think "The Majestic" sucked very badly either, so I guess I just enjoy Carrey's work more than I should.  I'm interested to see what the reviews say about "The Number 23".
