MURP, I thought the messages behind V for Vendetta and Children of Men were very different and they were certainly different styles of movies. Comparing them doesn't seem appropriate, imo. In fact it's downright preposterous.

I think Children of Men was in a similar genre to Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinkin' Your Juice in the Hood.

just got back from dreamgirls (and a $200 lunch)....outstanding movie....jennifer hudson is everything everyones said about her...still not sure if shes better than blanchett in notes on a scandel but shes great and if she does win she will be more than worthy

"Strangers with Candy"

I hate movies.  They all seem to suck.  I hoped this would be slightly amusing.  Whoops.

It was only slightly more intriguing than "Farce of the Penguins" - I'll give it a 0.5/5.

I don't understand why they made a movie for "Strangers with Candy".  The show sucked.....

The only episode of Strangers with Candy that I liked was the episode about the Mongoloids and their super human strength of 10 gorillas when they get angry

Streep was good in it but is it a weak year for best actress or something?

The Guardian: Liked it a helluva lot more than I was expecting to. Costner and Kutcher, neither of whom I am especially fond of, were both really good, although Kutcher doesn't really convey emotional pain well.... whatever.

Nice to see a movie that gives props to the USCG.

It's hard to take movie advice from someone who liked the Marine and the Guardian. Sorry Blue, you're still my favorite Giants fan.
