Watched War of the Worlds yesterday. Not too terrible. Kind of liked it. Pretty grim little movie, nice special effects and I only wanted to punch Tom in the face three or four times throughout the whole movie. Sure the characters were shallow and the plot had a few wholes in it but the effects more then made up for it I think. Had a nice dark feel to it. Nicely grim view of humanity in spots.

Worth a Sunday afternoon hiding in the AC.

I hated War of the Worlds.

Tom Cruise is quickly becoming intolerable to watch regardless of the quality of movie he's starring in.

Tom Cruise movies haven'tt gotten a dime of my money since I learned he was Scientologist years ago. Same with Beck's music. Dude is cultist.

For all I know the movies are good and so is the music, but I don't support those scumbags.

I actually liked "The Last Samurai" but mostly because the supporting cast was outstanding, especially Ken Watanabe as Katsumoto.

Watanabe was amazing in that role.

war of the worlds and the last samurai were no award winners. war of the worlds being the better of the two. collateral was the best movie he's done since vanilla sky

Agree. "Collateral" was actually pretty damn good, though.
