Hell, most actors aren't good enough to play a single role.
Anyone but Reid.

Tivo decided that I'd like a movie called "Don't Look Back." It was short and I had some rare spare time, so I watched it.  Felt sort of like an Indie movie, and it starred Eric Stolz, Billie Bob Thornton, John Corbett, and some guy I didn't recognize.  It was about a heroin addict that absconds with a couple hundred grand of drug money.

It really wasn't that bad, right up until the end when it sort of fell apart and ended a little nonsensically.  It was as if they ran out of money and had to wrap it up quickly.

Clive Owen was good in that Privateer PC game from back in the day...  :paranoid

With the wife & kids away to see the inlaws for a week (while I'm stuck at work), I finally got to rent Hostel. Here's the plot:

poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, drill torture, sliced achilles, throat cut, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, poon, chainsaw, asthmatic torturer, gunshots, multiple scenes of sadism, run, run, run, run, run, save the girl, blowtorch to face, shoot Paul Giamatti look-alike, cut dangling, puss-filled eye, run, run, hide, hide, drive, drive, drive, hide, hide, hide, asian takes one for team, stalk, stalk, stalk, slice up pervert in bathroom stall, ride away with sense of smug satisfaction. The End.

I wasn't as grossed out as I thought I'd be, but came away satisfied with a slightly above average piece of survival horror.

Watched X-Men 3 last night. Not nearly as good as the second one and the dialogue was super cheesy, to the point of being cringe-inducing, but I'm a sucker for comic book movies and this one had lots of explosions and fighting and cool effects and it left the door open for more (hopefully better) X-Men movies. 3/5
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i saw Cinderella Man last night.  i didn't want to like Crowe in it, but he did a great job.  Ron Howard also did a great job, especially with the fight sequences.  Howard really did a good job of pulling you in, especially for the last fight.

so, i've seen 2 movies in the past 3 days, Cinderella Man and Munich.  both should've won best picture over Crash.

cinderella man and munich were both very good and on the surface probably better than crash.....problem is crash has replay value where as if i had to watch munich or cinderella man again id end myself

No doubt.  The penultimate chick flick - it's a romantic comedy with very little comedy or romance, but it makes you feel all warm and tingly at the end if you like happy endings.

Meh.  Peter Colt's parents were the only semi-amusing thing in the whole movie.

Watched Good Night, and Good Luck last night. Pretty decent flick, gave some nice insight into how fear and paranoia can change the country (hopefully opens some eyes  :paranoid). Didn't really go to in depth into the "fight" between Murrow/CBS and McCarthy, but decent none the less. David Strathairn was excellent at played Ed Murrow.
