And the shark explodes when it hits the water. Awesome.

My favorite scene there is watching Batman run around with the bomb, trying to find a place to throw it and not kill anyone (nuns, ducks, etc.).

Lucas to release original Star Wars. Best idea he's had in a long time, I wasn't in favor of all the new scenes. For average fans this isn't a big deal, but for geeks like me it is.

Just watched the original Godzilla from 1956. I was expecting a bad movie that is good like the other thread suggests because I couln't really remember the movie though I know I had to have seen it.

Well it wasn't bad. The special effects were so 1956 but worked in black and white. To me this movie showed what is missing in action and creature feature movies today. Some suspense where they don't tell you everything that's going on every minute and good story telling made the movie. The acting wasn't horrible either. It was the english version with an American reporter.

Tivo has me watching some strange stuff these days...

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You do know that the "American reporter" was Raymond Burr (i.e. Perry Mason).  He was added when the movie came stateside, all his roles are spliced in.  Also, the "original" Godzilla made several references to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were deleted in the American release.

The Raymond Burr version makes me want to see the original Gojira version from 1954. From what I've read the Burr version stinks compared to the original.

I'll probably be reading "One Day in September" to prepare myself for viewing Munich.
