Just saw Layer Cake last night.  Pretty good flick :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

Didn't realize I didn't know the main characters (Daniel Craig the new James Bond) name till the end of the movie.  Now I'm gonna have to rewatch the movie to try to figure it out.

Don't re-watch the movie just for that.  His name is nowhere to be found.

Rewatch the scene with Sienna Miller mostly naked, though.

That was incredible.  So you're telling me that despite that little teaser at the end you cannot figure out his name?

He has no name, for all intents and purposes.  It's not like "Sixth Sense" where if you re-watch you can find clues.

It's like Ed Norton's character in "Fight Club".  If he has a name other than Tyler Durden, your guess is as good as anyone's, because they never mention it or flash it on screen once.

Dark City- not a huge sci fan fan, but this one was pretty good. jack bauer was awsome in it as some weirdo doctor, and jennifer connelly is always fun to look out, even though she was not naked which is an injustice.

Crash- yea im probably the last person in the world to see this. thought it was good, but not best picture good. definatley worthy of a nomination, though. i havent seen any of the other nominees, but im still right.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

watched Paradise Now today.  Really good.  Foreign film, all in Arabic with English subtitles.  Was hoping for a little more violence in a movie about suicide bombers but it was more about their emotions leading up to the end and whether they should do it or not.  I'd give it 3.5 out of 5.

"The Chronicles of Narnia:  The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe":
It was pretty much exactly what I expected.  Semi-decent digital effects, a lot of mediocre acting, but a pretty good story.  It's been at least 13-14 years since I've read it, but I think they stayed fairly true to the book.  Anyone else get the idea that they wanted to cast Cate Blanchett as the witch, but had to go with a cheap knock-off?  Anyway, I really wouldn't recommend this unless you're Christian and you want a movie that will enthrall your kids so that you can explain the parallels to Jesus and the epic battle between good and evil.  Otherwise, go watch the LoTR trilogy instead... or even Harry Potter.  :cfhead :cfhead 1/2 out of 5.

"Fun with Dick and Jane":
The editor of this movie should probably be shot.  They cut out many of the funny robbery scenes in favor of more character development and background.  Hell, it's almost an hour into the movie until they even attempt a robbery of any sort, and you're lucky to get that far.  It has a few laughs and is worth a watch on cable, but it's not even in the league of "Me, Myself, and Irene" or "Liar Liar".  Meh.  :cfhead :cfhead out of 5.

Wolf Creek-  :cfhead :cfhead    1 eaglehead for the movie.   1 for the "head on a stick" line.

I saw this over the weekend too and I think it was one of Carrey's better movies in quite some time.  True, some of the deleted scenes were better than the ones in the movie, I said the same thing.  Especially the dirty talk sex scene, that had me cracking up.  And for some reason I remember a bunch of people from this board saying that Tea Leoni was one of the worst actresses ever.  I thought she was pretty great in this movie.  Her timing and her dry sarcasm matched perfectly with Jim Carrey.  Anyway, i agree it's not a great movie, but definitely good for a few non-explicit laughs with the family on easter.  3/5

I agree that Tea Leoni was a strong point of the movie, not a weak point.

I saw this last night too and thought it was really good.  Not amazingly funny but the story was great and I did actually laugh a lot.  I just really don't think Katie Holmes is that cute anymore and she played the sedcutive reporter, I just don't see it.  Definitely worth a watch though.   3/5
